Overview
This guide will explain you how to handle your barbarians (or how to keep them away)
What effects whether barbarians come?
Most imortant:
Barbarians only show up when your shop appeal is above 70%.
From up to down the highest to lowest effect on when they show up:
– Barbarians come in increased rate if you go trough the trash.
– Barbarians come in increased rate if you grab “free” items from events (fe. X-mas tree presents)
– Barbarians come in increased rate if you grab “free” chests spawning trough town.
Increasing the rate on which the barbarians come includes:
– The time before the next attack
– The amount of barbarians comming to trash ur shoppe (this amount can be altered with meat offers)
How not to get barbarians.
As stated, you need over 70% shop appeal for barbarians to show up.
This means you will have to unlock the appeal perk before you’ll be butchered. Not getting the perk and leaving 1 body laying around guarantees no barbarians will bother you.
Ofcourse, if you have the perk, leave 16 bodies laying around to get neraly the same effect.
People seem to think putting meat on the offering table protects you from barbarian hordes, this is semi true. The meat will lower the amount of barbarians spawning in the horde but not prevent the horde from spawning.
Less or more barbarians.
You might want to complete your achievements, in which case you want more barbarians.
Go trough the trash a lot, do not put any offerings out, grab all items you can find troughout the town, keep your champion on advanture and keep ur shop appeal as high as possible.
You might want to get rid of the rediculous scare the barbarians bring to your customers but you might not want to lower your shop appeal because of the costs of customer income.
In this case, don’t go trough the trash, don’t grab the chests spawning trough town and make sure you put meat on the offering table.
