Potential Fix for Sudden Crashing for LEGO® The Lord of the Rings™

Potential Fix for Sudden Crashing

Overview

Welcome to my guide on fixing those pesky random crashes.I am a big fan of LEGO game and when it started to crash on me, it was truly unfortunate. However, after a few weeks of messing around with different configurations, I may have discovered a solution to allows you to enjoy these delightful games.Original IssueAfter finishing the initial level of leaving The Shire and finishing the sneak-about level, I ran into an issue where I would crash after attempting to walk. Interesting tidbit: This only happened after my first shutdown of the game and returning to it, previously it worked past that point and only after I closed the game and reopened it did this issue arise again. My SolutionThis is what has worked for me. Compatibility Mode I don’t know if this was truly necessary but I put the .exe with the Windows 7 compatibility setting on. Run as Administrator I also put the .exe with run as administrator privileges.In-Game SettingsFSAA: OffShadow Quality: HighShaders Quality: HighBloom: OffDepth of Field: OnMotion Blur: OffV-Sync: On (I know, but it was for framerate stability.)It should be noted I have a 2060 for my graphics card and a hefty CPU by way of Ryzen so shadow and shaders quality may vary. :PI have also tested whether or not you can play it again after shutting the game down and relaunching it with a rousing success.Hope this helps!
