Challenge: “Pyromaniac” (Mountain Temple)

Overview

Challenges is a side tasks in game. They not required to complete storyline, but they required to finish game on 100% and to achieve “Inconceivable!” achievement. To complete this one you need to find lanterns, hanging in different places of this level.

Challenges is a side tasks in game. They not required to complete storyline, but can give you extra xp and fun. But they required to finish game on 100% and to achieve “Inconceivable!” achievement.
I wrote this guide because items, required to complete challenge, is hard to find and they not marked on map, unlike other tasks.
I split a guide on locations, because if write everything in one pass, it will too big. Maybe I combine everything into one later.
Items are listed in the order, which they are encountered throughout the game. Of course you can always go back to the desired location and to find the missing items.

Challenge overview

Challenge: Pyromaniac.
Location: Mountain Temple.
You need to find lanterns, hanging in different places of this level, and destroy them by shooting. There is 7 lanterns and you need find and destroy only 5 of them.

This location separated on two areas: inside burning building and outside. Inside building you can find two lanterns and if you miss them you can’t destroy them later. Outside you can find five lanterns and this is enough to complete challenge.
You can also find same lanterns on another locations, but they is not counting.

Outside

You climbing to this location after you kill Vlad and escape from burning village. You need pass enemies, pass burning building, climb on rocks and leave.

#01 Very first building

You just climb on this lication by the ladder. Now you can see building exactly infront of you. Turn right and climb on second floor, or turn left and walk across building (you will find campfire on this way). Lantern hangs in room on second floor.

#02 Building is near campfire

When you find a campfire, take a look upside on nearest building. Lantern hanging on corner under the roof.

#03 Building above precipice

This is first building which you will find on another side of creek. This building stands right on the edge. Lantern hanging under first roof of this building on west side (right under precipice).
If you climb on the roof of this building, then from this point of view you can see three lanterns: #2, #4 and #5. If you can’t see them, then follow next.

#04 Building in high grounds

You find this building near the exit from location. Lantern hangs on east south corner, under the roof.
From this point you can see last lantern.

#05 Small gazebo

Proceed south from previous building. You can see a small gazebo, which stands on small rocky platform. Lantern hanging under the ceiling inside this gazebo.

Inside

On your way you must climb inside a big house, then fight enemies, and escape this house where he starts burn and collapse.

#06 Above barricade

Where you climb in house, you fall into the trap, because your path is blocked by a barricade. Lantern hangs right above this barricade and you need to shoot this lantern to burn barricade off.
(Actually I don’t know another way to burn barricade without shooting this lantern, but probably this is possible. And if it possible, then lantern can be missed.)

#07 On the railings

Behind the barricades you get into the room. There is no floor in this room, but catwalk around walls. On the opposite side of room on the railing is a lantern.
