Overview
This will show a local way to get steam to Steam get on any sourceport, make wad playlist easy, and share screenshots on Steam.
Introduction!
So, here we are, u download Doom 2 on steam, and u computer it’s to advanced to handle the Dosbox configurations, or play too sloopy, fear not because with a steamtool, we can fix this.
Will need.
Doom 2 Installed.
A Doom Sourceport (Like GZDOOM, Zandromium, Chocolate Doom)
GZDOOM GZDOOM[zdoom.org]
Zandromium with Doomseeker Zandronum[zandronum.com]
Chocolate Doom Chcolate Doom[www.chocolate-doom.org]
A Doom Launcher (I Like Doom Explorer, but we can use ZDL)

Steamedit, a tool to local edit our steam games
I read about on this guide that i recomend STEAM TOOLS GUIDE.

So with some of this downloaded, lets go to tweak.
SteamEdit and SourcePorts
So, we install the sourceport we want, and install in on doom2/base folder.
We recomend to make the same with DoomExplorer.
Now we go to Steamedit, a simple too to edit local SteamData, that only ur PC will have changes.
First we download and run the aplication.
Them we search for the list, Doom II: Hell on Earth.
We select edit
We can chose now our launchers.
Mine launch dosbox.exe that it’s a custom doomexplorer that is installed on the base folder, but u can have anywhere that it installed on base folder, i recomend creating a folder called sourceport on base and select the exe from there, like i chosed for DoomSeeker, Also u can change the name of the list to play, and make more options.
Know we are ready, we go to save and refresh, that wilal restart our steam with the new options.
Launching Doom.
So now on our librery, we can launch doom, we can see there it custom options there.
launching there will get me to launch doom explorer.
from there we can select wads, pwads, multiplayer and more.
The same will apply with doomseeker, but i chose that for MP Games, i like it more than DoomExplorerMP.
In settings, we can choose our sourceports, we can select outself, or autosearch for the wads.
I recomend not autosearch wads, and select where its, because some valve and others game use .wad extensions ( like half life, and LOL) and can overflow the options we have to play.
In the red we can select out sourceports to play. we can chose the primmary iwad to play (that can be Doom, Doom2, TNT, Plutonia, Hexen, etc, i only have Doom2)
And in PWAD, we can select custom wads to play, i will select mansion and Uganda.
In the green square, we can save our settings to quick play some wads, like i can chose all my proyect brutality, save there, and click on brutality or Uganda Doom to select what wad i want to play.
Now we only need to play.

After all that, we are set with our custom wad, and steam overlay to get screenshots, chat or know the time we played Doom 2
