tModLoader 1.4 BETA TEST [ENG]

Overview

Installing tModLoader 1.4 BETA TEST, as it is not yet available on Steam!

Introduction

Hello everyone Recently, the network leaked it tModLoader for version 1.4 and the first mod to it. Today I will leave a short description + installation video! Let’s get started.

Note

The game should only be on disk C, it will throw an error on other disks. The game version should be 1.4.2.0 [The check was on version 1.4.1.2]
Also, on versions higher than 1.4.2.0, it does not work yet.

Programs

1. [link] (Search for the Community version and click download for free)
2. [link] (Search for Other Git for Windows downloads and select your Windows bit rate)
3. [link] (Looking for .NET Core 3.1 and download either the x64 SDK or the x86 SDK (x86 is a 32-bit system))

Downloading the necessary files

Go to the search and write there: Git CMD and open it, you can either as an administrator or without.
Commands for getting tModLoader 1.4 and the first mod for this version:
[ tModLoader 1.4 BETA TEST ] – git clone [link] -b 1.4_mergedtesting
[ Overhaul Mod 1.4 BETS TEST ] – git clone [link] -b 1.4
After the download is complete, both file folders will be located in the ” Local Disk: (C)/Users/{Your username}/ ” there will be two folders TerrariaOverhaul and tModLoader.

Installation

Go to the tModLoader folder and see setup.bat
We start and wait for the console to finish its work.
In the program, we see the Options button on top and click Select Terraria you will automatically open the path to the game, then you need to click once on the file Terraria.exe and click open, then click Instalation in the program itself.

Launch

Go to the folder with the game and look at the file there tModLoaderDebug.exe we’re launching it.
We are running tModLoader on version 1.4.2.0 (since this is a beta test, there will be a splash screen curve and sound at launch, the game’s FPS will drop to 20 in the Mods menu).

Installing the Overhaul mod

The folder that we downloaded earlier under the name TerrariaOverhaul we move to the directory “Documents/My Games/Terraria/ModLoader/Beta/Mod Sources/ ” we throw our folder there and go to Terraria, in the game we look for the Mod Sources section, go there and see our mod, and click Compile.
