Overview

Achievements and tips for 100% completion on Ripley’s Run DLC of Unexplored. This is my first guide, please leave a good review if it helped you, and if something is wrong or you have something to add, please feel free to leave it in the comments.

Map and Levels

  • The Approach: First floor you start in, there are crawlers, plants, and sometimes creeps and gargoyles. The only way down is through The Mining Colony.
  • The Mining Colony: This place branches into 4 sections, if you fall down you fall into The Upper Caves. Same enemies as before, but there can be big creeps.
  • The Living Quarters: The glowing key for the Gas Refinery glowing door is here. There is also an ornate door.
  • The Alchemy Lab: The Inquisitor is located here, and in his room you can get a sprite.
There is also a teleporter for The Gas Refinery and otherwise there is no way to get to The Core from The Alchemy Lab, unlike the other paths.
  • The Gas Refinery: There are hulking rats in here as well, and you’ll need a glowing key to access The Spinner Room, and a skull key from The Spinner Room to access The Core from here.
  • The Spinner Room: There are spinners, and the skull key in here.
  • The Infected Lake: Once you enter here, poisonous creeps start spawning everywhere else. The Infector is also located here.
  • The Weird Cave: Has the ornate key. Having a captured sprite allows certain walls to dissolve and to access a chest. A Magic Mapping scroll is also recommended here.
  • The Upper & Lower Mines: These levels are pretty straightforward, nothing special about them.
  • The Core: Has the Visitor Queen, whom you need to defeat to win the DLC

Enemies

  • Crawlers: Spiders that jump, they’ll jump straight onto your sword so just kite them and don’t waste arrows. The smaller eggs have crawlers in them.
  • Plants: Shoot spikes and uproots the ground. Can just walk away from them because well, they’re plants.
  • Creeps: They can burrow underground, and enrage upon seeing you. They also drain and corrode swords, so it is recommended that you don’t use melee to engage them. The bigger ones also launch draining spikes that can deflect arrows, but also drop creep skulls for an extra 20 kills.
  • Hulking Rats: Usually asleep, so can score a free critical. These guys are really easy to kite out with sword, so don’t have to waste your arrows on them.
  • Gargoyles: Only appear when you stay too long, or trigger a lever in a gargoyle room. Can just lock them in, but if you’re ambitious, you can kill the large/winged ones for their armour and weaponry.
  • Fish: Uhhh they’re just fish? Walk on land if you’re really afraid of them.
  • The Inquisitor: Shoots lightning which can stun, corrodes your sword, and teleports. He’s not that hard to deal with though
  • The Infector: Immune to magic and arrows, but doesn’t corrode your sword. Recommended that you throw an explosive potion to stun, and then stab him. He shoots poison gas and lightning occasionally.
  • The Visitor Queen: Her tongue can stun you, and she has a lot of health. Can only be hit from the front. She also can corrode your armour. If you save your explosive potions, it makes her relatively easy.

Achievements

  • Frugal: Should do this mission first, it’s pretty easy, unless you get a seed with creeps in the first floor. Can also take off cuirass to sneak around the creeps.
  • Collector: There should be 12 potions of explosion around the dungeon, but you can also craft some.
  • For Breakfast: Just play the game as usual, and you should get it. There is usually a drove of eggs behind a waterfall in The Infected Lake.
  • Bug Hunter: Just play the game as usual, and you should get it.
  • Exterminator: Just play the game as usual, and you should get it.
  • Antidote: Poisonous creeps start appearing once you go to The Infected Lake, so if you’re playing just to get this achievement, go to The Infected Lake, and then climb back up to The Mining Colony.
  • Knee-Deep: Just play the game as usual, and you should get it.
  • Disinfector: The Infector can be found in The Infected Lake. It’s a big warden, and is immune to arrows and magic, but not potions and swords.
  • Inquisitive: The Inquisitor can be found in The Alchemy Lab, in a room you teleport to. He can shoot lightning, stun, and teleport, but otherwise is just a normal creep.
  • Ripped Her: The Visitor Queen can be found in The Core, beating her wins the game.
  • Trophy Hunter: The trophies in question are Creep Skulls, which are dropped by the big creeps and worth 20 kills.
  • Artsy-Craftsy: A potion of explosion can be crafted by adding a bloat gland to a potion of incineration.
  • Well-Prepared: A potion of resist fire can be crafted by holding water over a fire until it boils, and then adding a fire ant gland to it.
  • Patched Up: Your sword can be patched up with iron ore and an anvil. This only works on your starting sword, and not great/long swords. Had to learn that the hard way.
  • Buff: This can be gained by playing the game as usual, the only way to gain extra hit points is to drink potions of life, which can be found around the dungeon.
