Surviving Gloria Victis – Bugreporting, and Player-reporting

Now that you are getting into game. You enjoyed yourself.. Then you see disgusting graphic flaw!

Introduction

So, you’ve done it! You understood the basis. You understood how to play the game. You’ve finally solved learning issues you’ve struggled with Gloria Victis! You had came across issues, and graphic that you found that doesn’t make sense and seem to be broken! Rude players, perhap? But you had no idea. You don’t understands how to deal with this!

Looks no further. We’ll help you by showing you around!

If you opens up an escape menu. You’ll see two buttons! Report bug should be reserved for finding issues with quests, graphic errors, exploits that you’ve found yourself personally, and other forms. Note that developers have priority, and note that there are two team of developers! Report player should be reserved for player you felt being rude for no reasons, being disrespectful, and terrible business!

Bear this in mind, the game is in Early Access as writing this guide. However, it’ll be switching to Beta stage very soon!

Reporting a bug

So let say, you found an issue within the game. There are list of category of bugs that you’ll encounter, and find. So be very specific. You don’t have to type down where you are, or how you found it. Just attach screenshot, and developers will also be notified of coordinate of where the issue is found! If it’s not that, it’ll probably be exploit that they need to know about!

Presented here, is list of all bugs you can report for. Sometimes you’ll find graphic bug, or armor clip. So report terrain, or model. Sometimes you’ll find weird animation issues. Combat, and movement! Use common sense when trying to figure out which bug is best connected to these category, and if bug do not belong there. They go to Others category!

Here, presented in the bug report menu after you made your selection. You’ll simply need to type down the summary of how you found, or how you replicated the bug. Do not bother trying to direct message the developers on steam, in their PMs, or on discord. By simply bug reporting. It’ll be sent to all the developers in the team! So don’t worry about directly messaging them!

Reporting Players

Sometimes, you just don’t feel comfortable. Sometimes you can’t stand the person because person is being injustified in their actions. the author never actually reports people. There’ll be time where you have to find people being rude, breaking the rules. They will not tolerate repeated actions, and constant abuse if player continues to do so. Bear this in mind, tremedously!

So basic things, basic stuff. Majority of these are common sense. Such as finding a guild with improper guild herald, or finding someone spamming the exact same thing every literal day, every time. With no end in sight! You’ll simply have to put up, and try to make report players. Developers, and moderators will be informed of the misconduct. If the players continue to abuse this said action, and continue to be disrespectful. They’ll be muted, up to temporarily banishment if it is too outrageous.

Just your run of the mill report. Make sure that the player is properly dealt with! Now bear in mind, the punishment may not be swift, or it won’t occur. So don’t alway despair if it doesn’t happen.

Disclosure

One of the few things about issues, is that if you found any gamebreaking exploit. You can try to direct message the developers, like JOG. He’ll definitely participate in conversation with you as long as it’s extremely urgent, and something he needs to deal with on your behalf.

But don’t bug the developers constantly for every minor issues. Bug reporting will inform the entire developing teams, and additionally they’ll take care of it, long as you’re descriptive about how you got into it!
