Overview
This guide describes the basic control options available in Bashville.
Controls Guide
This guide will describe the basic and common settings for the different type of controls available in Bashville.
The default assigned keys and controls are in the ‘Input’ tab of the game launcher. You may change them by double-clicking in the ‘Primary’ and ‘Secondary’ columns and press a key or give input into a game controller for each defined input.
Keyboard Only
For keyboard only controls, in Settings, set ‘Use Mouse Direction’ to ‘No’.
– Tank: turn/rotate left/right and move forward. The down/back key quickly turns you around 180 degrees.
– 8-Direction: the direction keys can be used to move up/down/left/right, and also in the diagonals by pressing one of the up/down and left/right keys together. This mode will be automatically switched to ‘Tank’ if ‘View Type’ is set to ‘First-Person’.
Keyboard + Mouse
In Settings, set ‘Use Mouse Direction’ to ‘Yes’. You will be able to use the mouse to point at any direction, and use the up/forward key to move forward. Setting the mouse to ‘Yes’ will supersede 8-Direction keyboard controls.
First-Person
When playing in First-Person, you have the option of using:
– Keyboard Tank controls: this works the same as it does in the ‘Default’ view.
– Keyboard + Mouse: this is the familiar First-Person controls where you use the mouse to look, and the up/forward key to move forward. 8-Direction keyboard controls, if set, will default to Tank if mouse use is turned on.
