Overview
This setup is made as universal as possible and created for those who do not know how to tune drift cars properly (or doesn’t want to waste time trying to figure out how it works). It could not be the best setup for specific car but it would work fine in general, I promise 😉Update 12/01/20:- Added option for 5-speed gearbox- Aadded explanation of Ackermann angle adjustmentUpdate 12/30/20:- Recommended to use 120% front wheel adhesion (was 110%)- Aadded explanation of rim diameter and tyre profileUpdate 01/09/21:- Changed suspension section due to update 2.9.0Update 05/11/21:- Added option for 100 adh- Value names changed due to update 2.10.2Update 06/09/21:- Guide has been changed due to update 2.11.0- Now the setup for 100 adh is taken as a basis
Introduction
You need to use only ultimate mod. Turbo, racing or drift mods do not provide all tuning options.
Also I recommend to use wide body kits for better handling.
Suspension
* Values changes depending on your car. Adjust so that your car does not look too high or too low.
** If car spins in a big angle – set it to 80 or 70%
If car straightens in a big angle – set it to 90%
Wheels
* For some powerful cars 19 inch wheels could be too small
For some low-powered cars like Hachi-Roku (AE86) better goes 17 inch
** If car takes too much angle, increase the pressure.
If car does not take much angle, reduce the pressure.
*** Adjust so wheels fits your body kit
**** For powerful cars (over 1000 HP) better goes 35%
Engine
Max all settings 😏
Transmission
Sequential transmission: Yes
Diff. locking ratio: 1.00 (max)
Final drive: 4.10 (most universal value)
If gears feels too “short” – try 3.90 or lower
If gears feels too “long” – try 4.30 or higher
I will give you multiple options to choose from:
* Works better with lower Final drive values. Try 3.70 at first and increase this value in steps of 0.20 (3.70 → 3.90 → 4.10) until you feel that car spins wheels on each gear easily.
Brakes
Reworking for 120 adh
All values remain as written above, but you need to change followings:
Rear spring stiffness: 70 kN/m
Front tyre pressure: 200 kPa
Rear tyre pressure: 160 kPa
Front and rear wheel adhesion: 120 %
Front and rear tyre profile: 25%
Final drive: 4.40
Conclusion
That’s all, folks! I hope it would help some people to understand what’s going on in dynostand menu.
Sorry if there is some mistakes coz ma english is not peяfect 😉
