Overview
Some effects from your alloy containers are easy to figure out. They describe exactly what they do in the game’s system terms. However, not all abilities are clear at a glance in function.Don’t know what those named abilities of your alloy containers do? Perhaps you do? Can’t find a wiki article to explain…?Well sadly, I don’t know much myself!Simply put, I wanna get some comments here for pepes to fill in the gaps, then update this guide to accomodate other newbies.
Overall
To start, some basics I’ve been learning as I’ve played.
- When your ship esplodes, your container vanishes. You’ll need to insert a new one if you die.
- Gotta refill your vat via ability or after missions, else it won’t resupply itself in normal cases.
- Hot pink goo is the most potent healing compound around for thicc shippy bois.
Ancient
Ancient vats have a “gain 30 alloy when you cross a dust cloud” effect, apparently.
Automatic
This is… A tricky vat. When your armor is damaged, it repairs your ship automatically. However, the increments of healing are substantially less rapid than manual healing would be. Forthermore, you cannot initiate manual healing when equipped with this vat type.
Eternal
Eternal containers are indestructible and gain alloy when you fail the mission, so says a dude.
Won’t break when you die AND you gain alloy? Noice.
Indestructible
Even if your ship explodes, the vat will remain! A pretty handy thing to have as a backup.
Sacrificial
The effect only kicks in when your armor -your ship’s HP value, more or less- falls to zero.
At that time, you recover 30% of your armor/HP and the vat breaks.
Unstable
Unstable containers lose alloy when you use the “Resurrect Armor” ability, so says a guy.
Transient
Transient containers are destroyed at the end of the mission, regardless of the mission outcome… Yikes. There’s also the chance of getting a “Duality of Transience, Etherion’s Catalyst” relic when a transient container is destroyed?
Not testing for myself, but hey, sounds interesting.
Thanks to the fella that had so many answers.
