SO DEEP: A Brief Decryption of the Tulpa Alphabet

Overview

Translation of the made-up alphabet you can encounter in the game.

Introduction

While a small game made by a small crew which had small sales, Tulpa possesses a detail that is frequently encountered in only the biggest games, such as Morrowind and The Witcher: a made-up alphabet. Several english words transcribed in the Tulpan alphabet can be encountered in-game, and they give a bit more depth to a story which is already rich, even if rather short.

The findings here are the fruit of my own researches. I began decrypting the start of the credits text, googled it, and found that a poor lad already found the rest. Apparently he used the classic method where you count every letter in the text, then compare it to the average number of letters there is in a typical english text, then you look for the similitudes and the repeating structures to find out which letter is what. I just went to the developper’s site and noticed that they gave the words for “Home” “Blog” “Images” and “About” in their alphabet, so I got the rest in 30 minutes while this guy maybe spent a week on this. That’s something to respect

Next time think about sharing in a more open place buddy

Anyway let’s see what we have

It’s All Clear Now

The alphabet itself won’t be very useful to you, and I have to study my lessons so I won’t take the time to post it.
Here are the screenshots with the glyphs, and the translation below:
