Some pointers:
- Whoever has the most sentry guns on the map usually wins…
- There is a maximum amount of sentrys Worms W.M.D. will allow on the map at any one time. If the maximum has been reached the sentry will be selectable but not able to be placed on the map. This seems to be subject to sentry type, ie if the maximum sentry guns have been placed you may still throw a Sentry Lite or place a TF2 Sentry. I’ve yet to reach the maximum placement limit of all three Sentry types: (you’ll need to set TF2 sentrys to ∞ if you want to try this yourself!)
- Worm Stingers are great for nudging enemy worms to activate nearby sentry guns!
- If you are super quick with your button press, you can turn around to face the other direction without alerting a nearby sentry.
- You can bat away a sentry gun but a sentry lite will just explode
- Girders and other utilities are your friends.
I made minor tweaks with this mode over the months and this is my latest iteration. Average game length is 20 minutes and with 16 worms. Let me know your thoughts!
