Overview
A guide to hidden item boxes.
A short explanation of Hidden Item Boxes
Hidden Item Boxes are transparent boxes scattered around dungeons, usually noticable by the small blur they make, their shadow, or a ??? that pops up when you are underneath one.
They always contain credits, but one box per dungeon, randomly chosen, will have an item. The most common are healing items, but sometimes they include materials, a weapon, or an outfit. Sometimes a box will give you two items in a row, or multiples of a common item.
Only one Hidden Item Box in a dungeon area will contain items, and from what I’ve noticed, there is always one Hidden Item Box that contains an item whenever you enter an area. These boxes reset when you leave the dungeon or go to a different area of the dungeon.
What Items in What Boxes
So only one Hidden Item Box in one dungeon area will contain an item. From what I have noticed so far, this is always the case. There is never a time where all Hidden Item Boxes will only contain credits.
But, as I was exploring, I realized that one certain box always gave me one particular item.
Well, that seemed like a little more than a coincidence. So, I left the area and came back to it. And it happened again, and again.
The items are designated to particular Hidden Item Boxes in the area. This is helpful for when you are trying to get a particular item you know is in that area, as you can go straight for that box.
Where to Get Certain Items (in progress)
These are based off of my experiences so far. I will add to it as I continue to play.
