Overview
This will be my first guide on Steam. I will focus on what the best plant positioning is per stage and how to get there. I’ll start with what plant should be planted first, then work on what to do next.
The best plant to start with is always a sun producing one
This game is all about sun. Without sun there won’t be any planting plants. Without any plants, there won’t be anything guarding you from the brain eating Zombies. Without anything guarding you from the brain eating Zombies, then you’re dead. This is why it’s important for the player to have access to a lot of sun.
One of the easiest and best ways to produce a lot of sun is to plant Sunflowers. These cute dancing sunflowers can produce sun for you to use. Unlike other plants, these cuties don’t attack the Zombies.
Like I mentioned above, the Sunflowers aren’t capable of defending themselves, therefor we must plant Pea Shooters to defend them and your brain. We wan’t a lot of these bad boys, so we will want to plant a lot of Sunflowers so that we can have a lot of sun. Easy enough eh?
Now, what you want to do each time you start a level is to quickly plant a sun producing plant. I mean it, as soon as the level starts. Next, plant another one. And another one, and another one until a Zombie appears. When that little hungry bastard appears, you are left with a few optons. Either plant a Pea Shooter to pop it’s head off, plant a Wal Nut to buy you some time, or keep on planting Sunflowers. One of my favorite things to do in this situation is plant a mole on the lane the zombie is approchiing you from. Not only will it buy you a lot of time, but it’s also cheap. Only 25 sun! Plenty of time to plant Sunflowers.
This is so effective because each time a level starts, only 1 Zombie comes to attack you first. Then it’s 2, 3, and sometimes 4. Use this to your advantage.
