Overview
This guide is aimed at helping players level secondary characters quickly between a Level 15-60. The only caveat of this guide requires a second input on whatever platform, as if one was playing local coop. Whether you want to prep another character’s skills or develop them to be inherited by your primary character, this guide can be repeated indefinitely in 2-3 minute bursts!
Speed Leveling Gauntlet VI-02
Step 1: Your Primary Character
For this guide, Gauntlet VI Mission 02 must be made available by purchasing Episode Three(3) of the compete Resident Evil Revelations 2 season. The earliest this specific mission can be accessed is on Normal Difficulty with a recommended level of 51.
Therefore, your primary character will either need to be at or above the recommended level to complete the mission efficiently.
Step 2: Character Skills
For an efficient run of Gauntlet VI Mission 02, weapons with high damage, swift firing rates, and moderate clip capacity are needed.
So, certain passive skills can complement the chosen weapon, such as the respective weapon type mastery. Other skills include Scavenger(for low capacity weapons) and Crouch Power(for more damage).
*Weapon Modification/Parts*
To increase the amount of experience gained between the primary and secondary character, the “Soul Eater” part is mandatory for lucrative runs. This also means that only one weapon must be reserved for landing the final blow on the respective enemies for the map, which are Hunters( fast, low build) and Napads( slow, but armored).
Multiple weapons can be taken into the mission by the primary character. However, this will decrease the reliability of maintaining ammo of the killing weapon( such as magnums and sniper rifles) received from ammo crates. Consider this if a mastery skill is not developed for the primary character.
As we’re already looking for fast and powerful weaon models, any parts and passive modifications will hasten the frequency of the run. Cultivate and upgrade parts like these found below:
- Damage
- Capacity
- Firing Rate
- Reload Speed
- Piercing
- BSAA( for 25% increase to capacity)
Step 3: Your Secondary Character
This step isn’t very involved. The only thing of note is that given a large enough defecit between a character’s level and the recommended level of a mission, so much experience will be squandered by the receiving character.
It is recommended that your secondary character begins this routine between level 15-20. Depending on the scale of all presiding factors( difficulty, Soul Eater level, Partner level, Elite Enemy Occurence), the secondary character can benefit anywhere between 2-5 levels every session up to level 40.
*For reference, check out Leon S. Kennedy and his Early Speed Leveling Guide for Gauntlet VI Mission 04.*
After that, if the scalable factors do not improve, then the secondary character, whose level is less than that of the primary character, will start to diminishing returns. For the surprising frequency of this routine though, even one level per character every 2-3 minutes is a steal!
Finally, it is stressed that the secondary character have no weapons equipped, as extra weapon types will decrease the odds of receiving ammo for the killing weapon.
*The Routine*
The crux of this guide is to have a SECOND INPUT to facilitate local co-op. Once you have prepared your primary character, activate the second gamepad or keyboard for the partner to join. Prepare the partner’s loadout, or lack thereof and walk both characters to the red door to begin the mission.
At higher difficulties, the loot chests will contain moderate weapons and parts that may improve the efficieny of your personalized run. However, you can expect to lose about 30 seconds opening all chests. If you are only looking to level your character(s), this distraction can be avoided.
The first time a secondary character is brought along, he/she will receive medals based on the primary character’s performance. For the challenge medallion, enemies will certainly consume more bullets, so weigh this one-time possibility against the sheer frequnecy of each over-leveled run.
*Skill Inheritence*
The frequency at which you’ll be leveling other characters will open several possibilities for pursuing, developing, inheriting skills. In my experience, up to level 50 without squandering any Skill Points(SP) will afford 2-3 skills that can also be inherited.
