Tales of Berseria Herb farming guide for Tales of Berseria

Tales of Berseria Herb farming guide

Overview

This guide will teach you, how to efficiently farm all kinds of herbs in Tales of Berseria game.I recommend to simply watch the youtube video below, and copy on your instance of the game. It‘s about, how to create an infinite loop of everspawning herbs.Since this guide does not require you to use any programs, it is not cheating. This is simply taking full advantage of herb respawning mechanics. Also, this guide will contain minor and major spoilers, so be warned!

Prerequisites

There are some requirements, before you can take full advantage of this guide.
They are:

  • You must be at endgame (main mission has to be to kill Artorius/Innominat)
  • You must have collected at least ~70 herbs (combined red and green) in different locations. There’s a total of 118, of them in the game.

The basics

There are herbs that are linked together.

What that means, is that if one herb is present on a specific map, then, after picking it up, you spawn another (on a different map etc).
And you guessed it – the point is to know, where and what will you spawn.

I have figured, which herbs are linked. However, as dissapointing as it may sound, this doesn’t go
for every different herb in the game.

Still, you will be collecting all types of herbs, if that’s going to be your desire.
Alternatively, you will be able to farm 2 different locations.

There’s more to it than that, but I don’t see much point in explaining further.

Getting started

Unfortunately, there is another requirement, which I didn’t mention earlier.
There has to be herbs, spawned in one of two specific locations.
This is important, because they are linked.

The two locations are Gaiburk Ice fields and Figahl Icecaps.

More specificaly, the one in Gaiburk Ice fields is this one:

It’s linked with this one, in Figahl Icecaps:

However, for everything to go smoothly, it would be best, if one of those locations had all of it’s herbs spawned.

Gaiburk Ice fields has a total of 3 red herbs (the other one is past Mierchio, on the way to Killaraus).

Figahl Icecaps has a total of 4 green herbs (one more is in the area, to the right of Beardsley).

Starting the Loop (farming process)

After all that reading, you must be ready to start farming.
Well, you can.
It’s like this:

  • If you start in Figahl Icecaps, collect all 4 herbs. Then, move to Gaiburk Ice Field. It’s important that you collect all of them, and not just the one I showed in the screenshot.
  • If you start in Gaiburk Ice Field (or have collected all herbs in previous location, and teleported to here), then move to the red herb in the screenshot above. But don’t pick it up, yet. It’s very important for starting the loop. Use quicksave, then load the game. Then, pick the herb, in the screenshot, up. Now, save and load.

That’s it. If everything went smoothly, then the green herbs in Figahl Icecaps should respawn.
Not all at a time, though. So I have made screenshots, in which order I recommend picking them up. Here it is:
For me, personally, if I don’t collect in that order, and, instead, go take that number 4, it doesn’t spawn. Then, I pick up the 3rd and the 4th one spawns. Maybe, it’s going to be different for you guys…

Anyway, after that, feel free to teleport back, to Gaiburk Ice Field and start the loop again (save game etc etc).

Starting the Loop (TL;DR) version

1. Quicksave the game.
2. Load.
3. Pick herb.
4. Save.
5. Load.
6. ???
7. Profit.

Important notes

  • So, when you teleport back to Gaiburk Ice Field, you might notice, that only, that one specific red herb has respawned (screenshot), and the other 2 are missing. Well, fear not. For, they are linked to the 2 red herbs in Meirchio. Go there and collect. Then move back to Figahl Icecaps. Alternatively, you can go elsewhere, just don’t forget where the loop starts and ends.
  • If there are no herbs spawned in the 2 locations, mentioned in this guide, you have to go collect herbs in other locations. If you do so, soon after, they WILL spawn on either both, or one location.
  • This guide is all about efficiency. Yes, you can just teleport to random locations and hope to find herbs. But, this guide makes sure that you do!
  • It appears that you need to include Hellawes into the loop. The video below shows how and when to do it.

TL;DR version of the guide itself

1. Make sure that one of the 2 locations (Gaiburk Ice Field or Figahl Icecaps) has a full list of herbs (3 or 4).

2. Start the loop only in Gaiburk Ice Field (this would be, after you collect in Figahl Icecaps, in some cases).

3. After collecting all 3 herbs in Gaiburk Ice Field, move to Figahl Icecaps, and collect 4 there.

4. Either return to Gaiburk Ice Field and restart the loop, or go elsewhere, and return to Gaiburk Ice Field, and THEN, restart the loop. It all starts from the same location.

Youtube video showing the loop

My youtube account got banned, for reasons unknown to me.

So the video is unavailable. Sorry.
