[MOD] XBox 360 Buttons

Overview

This is the first mod I made for the game. I don’t have an XBone controller, so the squares and lines button confused the hell out of me. When I posted this on the TBFix thread, coloured buttons were requested, so now there’s a choice of buttons you can choose from.

Installation

First, Click her to download the mod.[bookofdarkness.com]
Second, place and extract the 7zip file in your Tales of Berseria install directory under Tales of BerseriaTBFix_ResGamepads. You do not need to remove the button types you do not want.

From here, there are two ways to make the buttons appear in game.

Outside of the game
Step 1: Find the foldername of the button type you want to use (usualy the same as the names in the preview without spaces.
Step 2: Under your Tales of Berseria install directory, there will be a TBFix_Gamepad.ini file.
Step 2: Open the TBFix_Gamepad.ini file.
Step 3: Change the variable of TextureSet= to the buttons you want to use
For example, if I want to use the Alternative buttons, I’d change it to TextureSet=Xbox360Alternative

Inside of the game
Step 1: Press CTRL+SHIFT+BACKSPACE to open the Special K in-game menu.
Step 2: At the bottom of the menu is a red button called “Gamepad Config”. Click that.
Step 3: A list will appear with all of the button types in the Gamepad folder. Select the button type you want to use.
Step 4: A new option at the bottom of the Special K menu will appear, called “Apply Now”
Step 5: If you haven’t pressed that, nothing will happen. Press it, the screen will go black for a second, and your buttons will be applied.
Step 6: Press CTRL+SHIFT+BACKSPACE again to continue playing.
