[1.00.6] Berserker - Frigid Roar Build for Chronicon

[1.00.6] Berserker – Frigid Roar Build

Overview

Berserker build based around the Frigid Roar ability and the Northern Rage set. Has both high damage and good survivability.

Intro

Hey y’all welcome to what is likely the most scuffed guide you’ll find here. If you have any questions, think I missed something or should have clearer explainations somewhere feel free to tell me.

Here’s 2 videos demonstrating the build. (I’ve changed a few pieces of gear in the “Gear” section since making the videos but the gameplay should be the same)
The first one is a T284 clear and is done with only 400 mastery points spent to show that you don’t need too high of a mastery level for the build to work.
The second one is a T285 clear.

Gear

Northern Rage Helm – Used for the set bonus.
Helm o’ War – Makes Frigid Roar also cast War Cry when used which gives a neat damage boost but more importantly it also triggers the Dodgeclaw rune used in the offhead.

Amulet of Despair – Very strong damage boost since enemies are always going to be slowed using this build.
Released Heritage (LR) – Gives a nice boost to Heritages.

Northen Rage Hide – Used for the set bonus. Reroll Minimum Rage to 3 and don’t augment it to increase the damage output of Rage Release when using the Built Up Rage mastery.
Warp Echo (LR) – This provides a very nice damage boost, especially since the replicated cast also generates rage so we are triggering even more Rage Releases.

[
Stormchasers – Since this build uses Frost Winds and Twister enchant on the weapon this is going to give a massive damage boost.
Ancestral Rage (LR) – This rune both improves and makes rage-based passives and Heritage skills buffs cosistent, regardless of rage. With all the max rage increase this build has this rune will max out both overpower and resistance, making it possible to grab other stats where you would normally pick those.

Balgar’s Binding – Provides a lot of survivability by reducing the amount of damage taken from staggered damage.
Mantle of the Dragonkin – Gives a sweet boost to max rage and a huge boost to rage-based passives.

Northern Rage Claws – Used for the set bonus.
Dodgeclaw – As mentioned above this is triggered by the War Cry from the Helm o’ War rune. This is where the builds health and mana regeneration comes from.

The Last Word – This gives Frigid Roar a massive damage boost and is essential for this build.
Winter Rage (LR) – Another strong damage boost to Frigid Roar that also doubles the rage generated by it, triggering even more rage releases.

Ring of Titans – This gives a huge damage boost to Frigid Roar since it get knockback from the Impact. This is also the main reason for getting Reach on as many pieces as possible since it increases the knockback range which in turn increases the damage provided from the ring.
Supernova – Yet another damage boost to Frigid Roar.

This is a pretty neat codex that allows us to use Lightning Wyrms while using Dragon Warp which takes up the same skill slot. Very useful for grouping mobs together.

Skills

Here is what the skill trees currently looks like.

These are the skills used in the build:

Frigid Roar, the skill this build is based around.
Frostskin is going to max out resistance so there’s no need for any resistance on gear or from the mastery tree.
Dragonwing is a neato boost to multiple stats.
Dragon Warp is really useful for sticking directly ontop of mobs to ensure you get the max damage multiplier from The Last Word greater rune.
Both Rumbling Voice and Dragon Within increases shout damage.

These passives gives huge boosts to damage, attack speed, movement speed and 100% overpower so there’s no need for overpower on gear or from the mastery tree.

The end

That’s pretty much it. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks for taking the time to get through this scuffed crap, you’re pretty neat <3
