Overview
This guide talks about mini-bosses in the game including the hidden, unused mini-bosses.
First Words
My first thoughts are that this game is amazing. I have first played this game in 2013 right after the full release. I got sucked into it the second I started playing it. Now it’s 2020 and I’ve gotten bored of it until now. I saw a video on YouTube about custom maps. I saw mini-bosses I have never seen in my life. There is a mini-boss of every enemy. Even on the official Rogue Legacy wiki I saw these weird names that were like – for example: “Zomg”, a mini-boss version of a zombie. I downloaded the custom maps called “FennorMaps”. (Search it up on YouTube if you want to download it, download the patch.) Well, I hope that you’ll enjoy this guide!
Basic Mini-Bosses
Let’s start out with the normal mini-bosses from the full game.
You might think these are the ice and fire mage bosses, but no, they are Earth Mage mini-bosses. The strategy for this one is to only focus on one of them at a time. If you focus on one it will be easier than going back and forth with one another. They both use the elements of fire, ice, and earth to defeat the player. The earth attack sends a giant rock spire straight out of the ground that stays there for about 4.5 seconds. The fire attack shoots fireballs out of ones hand rapidly and aims to try and hit the player. The final one, the ice attack, shoots ice all at the same time to form a circle. Now for the statistics.
HP: 225 each
DMG: 30 each
XP: 1000 (each?)
Speed: 300 each
Jump Power: 300 each
Let’s move on to the next mini-boss.
This is the mini-boss version of the corrupt knight. There really isn’t very many strategies on this guy but i say just keep swinging your sword. His attacks are swinging his spear to cause “wind gusts” as what i call them to appear, they move in a pattern that goes diagonal and straight forward at the same time and then right in between those two one of the wind gusts appear. His other attack is he uses his spear to dash across the room seemingly 3 times in a row. Let’s move onto the statistics.
HP: 265
DMG: 40
XP: 1250
Speed: 200
Jump Power: 1350
Moving On!
This is the mini-boss version of the skeleton. The strategies for these guys is to focus on one and when that one is killed try to kill the other one using ranged attacks. They are setup so there is Berith on the left and Halphas on the right. When one of the skeletons is killed, the other one turns red and throws bones more rapidly. Their only attack is throwing bone at the player. Let’s carry on to the stats.
HP: 255 each
DMG: 32 each
XP: 1000 (each?)
Speed: 60
Jump Power: 925
Next up!
This is the mini-boss version of the Doomvas. The strategy to beat this guy is to wait for him to come around from the circle and hit him when he is on the ground parallel to where your character would be on the ground. Sallos can do two things to harm you. He can either attack you by flying at you or he can shoot fire balls at you. The fire balls tend to shoot out to all of the four corners of the room. Let’s talk about the statistics now.
HP: 215
DMG: 28
XP: 1000
Speed: 515
Jump Power: 600
Next, finishing the regular mini-bosses!
These are the plant mini-bosses. The strategy for these guys are to wait for their attack and then find an opening to attack it. Only try to attack them one at a time. They both shoot green fire balls. Three of them are in the middle and there are two to the right and to the left. They both move at very rapid speeds so watch out or you’ll get hit! Now let’s talk statistics.
HP: 165 each
DMG: 28 each
XP: 500 (each?)
Speed: 450
Jump Power: 900
Let’s go to the Hidden Mini-bosses!
Secret Mini-Bosses
These are the secret bosses hidden in the files and the only way that I found them was by downloading custom maps.
This is the mini-boss version of the fire mage. This guy is not seen doing any attacks in the game so I can’t really say what it does or how to beat it, it is trapped in this stone cage of some sort. I can say their statistics though.
HP: 240
DMG: 40
XP: 1000
Speed: 270
Jump Power: 300
This is the mini-boss version of the ice mage. Yet again, I can’t really say what it does because as you can see it is trapped in a cage. But again I can tell you statistics.
HP: 240
DMG: 40
XP: 1000
Speed: 375
Jump Power: 300
This guy is weirdly a weakling. He is the mini-boss version of a shield knight. I believe he is mainly used for fairy chests. He doesn’t move he just stands there for eternity. He is also unusually small, making him the height of the player. Nothing is mini-boss like about this guy but he is a mini-boss so here we are. Let’s talk about his lame, weak, statistics.
HP: 1
DMG: 1
XP: 1250
Speed: 250
Jump Power: 950
Weird, right?
Finally, someone who does something. As we know, he is the mini-boss version of the GuardBox. He he is reddish turret that fires a giant missile straight into nowhere hoping to hit the player. The strategy to beat this guy is to use the jump then hit method. The missile moves moderately slow and is kind-of easy to dodge I guess. Let’s go onward to the stats.
HP: 500
DMG: 40
XP: 750
Speed: 0
Jump Power: 1035
This is the mini-boss version of a ninja. He is only as tall as a human though. Someone could confuse him for a regular ninja but his gi is way darker than the one that the ninja wears. He shoots out only one ninja star but it is very powerful. The strategy is to do a jump then hit technique. There’s nothing more to really say about him so let’s move on to the statistics.
HP: 900
DMG: 38
XP: 1250
Speed: 150
Jump Power: 600
Zomg is the mini-boss version of the zombie. He is bigger than the Zombishinu and bigger than the player. He only has one attack of dashing at the player. The strategy on how to beat Zomg is to use the special attack that acts like a boomerang and to dagger right on top of him. He is very fast so watch out for him! Next is the stats.
HP: 800
DMG: 40
XP: 600
Speed: 600
Jump Power: 900
