Overview
just a guide about i play medic and some good to know info
Stuff i carry with me
one simple word. Morphine, Morphine is the lifeblood of the crew and you will want to carry a couple (2-4) to ensure that in the worst case scenario you wont be running out, i usually carry 2 Plastiseal (1 is enough) and about 3 Bloodbags (in the medics fatigues) 1-2 Calyxanide and a Haloperidol,
Thalami, Wrecks, and Ruins
Thalami (thalamus) are always fun, in a thalamus you can expect to cure paralysis (using anaparyzant crafted with paralyzant and chloral hydrate) from leucocyte (green cells) and burn wounds from the terminal cells (the small red suicide cells)
in wrecks you can expect to find creatures like crawlers and mudraptors, husks (atleast 1-3) can be found as well, so carry some calyxanide just to be on the safe side.
Ruins are great aren’t they?
carry calyxanide (1-2) there aren’t usually that many monsters in ruins, if you have a mission for the artifact inside you can skip the monsters in the ruin by using a plasma cutter and 2-4 02 tanks to cut through to a room adjacent to the artifact room (they strengthened the walls in the artifact room)
what some creatures can do to you medically and what you can do about it
creatures like the Husk can give Velonaceps Calyx (husk disease) its cured by calyxanide and ABX (broad-spectrum Antibiotics)
Watchers (black creatures with a large red eye) give “watchers gaze” it gives your screen a drunk hazy effect and gives psychosis when its eye is watching you, it can be killed easily using a single railgun shot to the eye and haloperdiol will cure the psychosis.
Molochs, Black molochs, and Hammerheads will cause blunt damage that can be cured with morphine.
how not to be lazy
gotta keep busy while in between catastrophes, remember to craft stuff if your in short supply (try and keep tabs on most of the medical resources you have). don’t be afraid to stockpile things like Morphine (1 toolbox) don’t be afraid to fix things if you aren’t busy.
some closing words
Morphine cures 70% of the things you will find, CPR only helps with oxygen deprivation, stun can only be lessened by methamphetamine and anabolic steriods, if someone is dying on the floor and you aren’t healing them (assuming there is nothing nearby that can hurt you) then you aren’t doing your job right.
remember, stay in your submarine, do copious amounts of morphine, and listen to your security officers (being brutally beaten by security officers is not an ideal situations, if you struggle with stun baton torture try methamphetamine or anabolic steriods although this may include the side effect of psychosis)
Stun baton torture (SBT) is no joke and hundreds of medical officers die each year to it.
(HRNGGGG Dr. Stunbatismo says the abuse builds character)
