Problems with achievements?

This is an official answer from the developers if you’re doing the right thing but not unlocking (mainly for Expert and The Devil in the Details).

If you are not able to get these achievements, try to delete your game save data (Users/~yourName~/AppData/Roaming/FinewayStudios/Frankenstein/save.bin) and play again, this should give you a clear account.

It worked for me for The Devil in the Details.

Gate

Click on Elizabeth.

After the cutscene, click on the bag and take the key, the skull and the insect ornament.

Click on the carriage door, insert the key and click on the HO scene. To find the blue items, here’s what you have to do.

  • Restoration of the bird
  • Pour the bottle in the glass
  • Take the pump for the deflated ball.

You’ll get the screwdriver.

Use the screwdriver on the electricity panel. Pull the level.

Click on the door to put the insect ornament. Restore the picture.

Go to the next scene.

The Hut

Click on the barrel. Take the torch then light it thanks to the fire. Use the lit torch on the grave to repel the snake. Take the green ornament and the star key.

Use the star key on the paddle on the door of the hut.

Click on the HO scene.

  • Use the code VOOVOV on the chest by clicking on the right shape to get the crown
  • Use the watering can on the dead rose
  • Use the brush and the palet on the frame on the skeleton.

You’ll retrieve the bucket. Use it on the water in the barrel and then on the fire.

Instead of following the path the creature took, just go to the cemetery (path on the right).

Opening the Cemetery Gate

Cemetery

Click on the gate to retrieve the red ornament.

Click on the grave to retrieve the second one.

Click on the first crypt door and put the ornaments. Then play the minigame.

Look inside. Take the lantern. Come back to the hut.

Hut

Use the lantern on the fog. Go to the ship.

Ship

Look inside the chest. Take the diver’s helmet. Use it on the ship.

Take the shears. Go back to the cemetery.

Cemetery

Use the shears on the vines on the grave and retrieve the skull.

Use it on the gate to open it. Go to the next scene.

Entering the Manor

Merry Go-Round

Click on the control panel and take the horseshoe.

Use it on the wooden horse on the floor. Read the book and take the hammer.

Return to the cemetery.

Cemetery

Use the hammer on the second crypt door. Look inside. Take the crowbar. Go back to the ship.

Ship

Use the crowbar on the wooden planks. Take the dust feather. Return to the cemetery.

Cemetery

Use the dust feather on the spiderweb in the second crypt. Take the saw. Go to the horses.

Merry Go-Round

Look at the door. Use the saw on the chain.

Enter the manor.

Meeting Elizabeth

Mirror Hall

Look at the crate. Use the crowbar on it. Retrieve the lion key and the tongs. Click on the first door. Use the lion key.

Enter the room.

Rat Room

Use the tong on the rat cage to get the clock needle.

Use it on the clock. Play the minigame.

  • Push the red button until the red needle is in place
  • Push the blue button until the blue needle is in place
  • Push the green button until the green needle is in place

Look inside and take the book (cutscene), the knife and the green ornament.

Use the knife on the tapestry. Click on the HO.

  • Restoration of the cat picture
  • Use the thread and the needle to repair the plush rabbit
  • Put the horn on the horse head to make a licorn

You’ll retrieve the iron glove. Go back to the hall.

Mirror Hall

Use the glove on the broken glass to retrieve the wolf key. Use it on the second door.

Enter the fireplace room.

Fireplace Room

Look at the fireplace to retrieve the last green ornament. Go to the next scene.

Lake Path

Look at the gargoyle statue. Take the movie wheel. Use the dust feather on the spiderwebs and take the lever. Go back to the horses.

Merry Go-Round

Use the lever on the control panel. The mechanism door will open. Look inside and take the anchor key and the lilas ornament. Go back to the ship.

Ship

Use the anchor key on the door. Take the oilcan and the falcon key. Go back to the mirror hall.

Mirror Hall

Use the falcon key on the last door. Enter the gallery.

Gallery

Use the knife on the torn painting, then put the green ornaments at their place.

Play the minigame

  • Use the second lever until it’s at its place.
  • Use the third lever until it’s at its place.
  • Use the first lever until it’s at its place.
  • Use the third level until it’s at its place.
  • Turn the circles for them being of the same color.

Use the screwdriver on the panel and take the salts and the lilas ornament.

Use the salts on Elizabeth.

To the Lakeshore and the Plane

Gallery

Look at the fallen wall to find the last lilas ornament. Go to the fireplace room.

Fireplace Room

Use the oilcan on the safe. Then put 1797 as the code. Click on the HO scene.

  • Restoration of the face
  • Use the paintbrush on the cat to obtain a tiger
  • Use the glass of the magnifying glass on the binoculars

You’ll retrieve the sleeping pills.

Use them on the ham to get a sleeping ham.

Use the lilas ornament on the lamp desk. Restore the picture.

Read the letter and take the gear. Go back to the horses.

Horses

Use the gear in the gear box. Click on the HO scene.

  • Restore the wire to the lightbulb
  • Put the cheese in front of the mouse
  • Use the knife on the pumpkin

You’ll retrieve the wrench. Go to the ship.

Ship

Use the wrench on the metal crate. Take the extinguisher. Go to the tiger.

Lake Path

Use the sleeping ham on the tiger. Go to the lakeshore.

Lakeshore

Use the extinguisher on the fire. Get in the plane and take the wooden handle.

Use the handle on the pick in the box.Take the book and the valve.

Go back to the tiger.

Lake Path

Use the pickaxe on the stone. Click on the car for a HO scene.

  • Use the feather on the paper outside
  • Click the buttons in that sequence for the star: last one, the one under the first one, the middle one and the first one.
  • Use the jewel on its container outside.

You’ll retrieve the plane stick. Go back to the lakeshore.

Lakeshore

Use the plane stick inside the cockpit.

Blow everything!

Castle Path

Use the valve on the barrel. Retrieve the heart inside and the movie wheel outside.

Return to the lakeshore.

Lakeshore

Use the heart on the female robot. Play the minigame.

Take what’s inside (letter and TNT in the head).

Go back to the castle path.

Castle Path

Use the TNT on the rocks. Go to the castle.

Opening the Dining Room

Castle Hallway

Go to the bedroom (left door).

Bedroom

Take the ladder. Go back to the hallway.

Castle Hallway

Use the ladder part on the other part. Click on the animal head. Take the last movie wheel.

Go to the projector room (right door).

Projector Room

Use the movie wheels on the projector. Play the minigame.

Take the eye key in the projector. Go back to the castle path.

Castle Path

Use the eye key on the eye paddle. Click on the HO scene.

  • Turn and match the flower parts
  • Take the gear piece and put it in the broken gear
  • Use the hammer on the nail.

You’ll get the map part. Go back to the bedroom.

Bedroom

Put the map part on the globe. Click on it for a HO scene.

  • Restore the fan
  • Put the helmet on the armor
  • Use the eagle head on the eagle box to open it for a clock.

You’ll get the hand key. Go back to the hallway.

Castle Hallway

Use the hand key on the dining room door.

To the Station

Dining Room

The noise you’re hearing is from a little monkey. But for now, go to the next scene.

Statue Hallway

Look at the gramophone and take the banana.

Look at the crate. Use the knife and the crowbar to open it. Take the blowtorch and the demon ornament. Go back to the fireplace room.

Fireplace Room

Use the blowtorch on the fireplace to free the sun ornament. Take it. Go to the projector room.

Projector Room

Use the blowtorch on the box on the right. Take the two ornaments (sun and angel). Go to the bedroom.

Bedroom

Use the blowtorch on the chest. Take the rope ladder and the sun ornament. Go to the dining room.

Dining Room

Look at the box containing the monkey. Use the sun ornaments. Play the minigame.

Look inside the box and give the banana to the monkey.

Go back to the castle path.

Castle Path

Use the rope ladder and the monkey on the hole on the wall. Look inside and take the axe. Go back to the statue hallway.

Statue Hallway

Use the axe on the wood barring the door. Go to the next scene.

Repairing the Train

Windmill

Well, there is nothing to do right now, so go to the station on the left.

Station

Use the oilcan on the door handle. Enter and free Viktor with the saw.

Take the angel ornament and the railway key.

Use the railway key on the train engine. Take the tongs. Go back to the bedroom.

Bedroom

Try to open the door. Take with the tongs the broken key.

Look inside and take the sack and the angel ornament.

Use the angel ornaments on the furniture next to the door. Restore the picture.

Take the sickle and the number pad.

Go back to the windmill.

Windmill

Use the sickle on the grass in front of the windmill. Then click on it for a HO scene.

  • See the square with color? Make the same pattern on the box.
  • Free the cat with the scissors
  • Restore the angel by putting the missing wing on it.

You’ll retrieve a shovel.

Use the sack and the shovel on the cart to get coal. Go to the station.

Station

Use the coal on the train engine. Go to the next scene.

Repairing the Cable Car

Cable Car

Click on the well and remove the board with the crowbar.

Go to the bottom of the tower.

Basement Door

Look at the chest. Use the shears and the saw. Take the pool ball, the demon ornament and the lever. Go back to the cable car.

Cable Car

Enter the cable car and use the lever. Go to the castle door.

The Creature

Castle Door

There are a lot to do but not now, so enter the castle.

Meeting Room

Look at the recorder. Take the flower key.

Look at the monkeys. Take the dagger with wings key.

Go to the open door and take the demon ornament. You can’t enter the next room because of the creature.

Go back to the entrance.

Castle Door

Use the dagger with wings key on the padlock on the right. Use the glove on the monkey statue. Go back to the meeting room.

Meeting Room

Put the monkey statue with the others. Take the star key and the last demon ornament. Go back to the basement door.

Basement Door

Click on the panel and put the demon ornaments. Play the minigame. It’s very easy as all the gems are next to their right place.

Click on the HO scene.

  • Use the brush on the crystall ball
  • Restore the vase
  • Use the clock needles on the clock.

You’ll retrieve the door handle. Go back to the dining room.

Dining Room

Use the handle on the cupboard. Retrieve the fishing pole and the lightbulb. Go back to the cable car.

Cable Car

Use the fishing pole on the well to retrieve a fish. Go to the basement door.

Basement Door

Give the fish to the cat and retrieve the syringue. Go back to the meeting room.

Meeting Room

Use the lightbulb on the recorder. Then click on the monkeys to put your syringue in the flask. Click on the armor and put the syringue in the rifle. Take the weapon.

Go to the door and use the rifle on the creature. You can now go to the large piano room.

Opening the Pool Room

Large Piano Room

Look at the cabinet and use the screwdriver to open it. Take the dragon head. Go back to the entrance.

Castle Door

Use the dragon head on the statue on the left. Take the adhesive. Go to the meeting room.

Meeting Room

Use the adhesive tape on the wire of the recorder. After the cutscene, take the sun with a 12. Go to the large piano room.

Large Piano Room

Use the sun with a 12 on the clock. Take the butterfly and the number pad. Go back to the station.

Station

Use the number pads on the ticket booth and put 1812 as code. Click on the booth for a HO scene.

  • Restore the lemon picture
  • Restore the star by putting the missing branch on the body
  • Restore the picture of the hedgehog

You’ll retrieve the record. Go to the statue hallway.

Statue Hallway

Put the record on the gramophone. Take the wing. Go back to the castle hallway.

Castle Hallway

Use the wing on the bird statue and grab the camera. Go back to the castle path.

Castle Path

Use the camera on the hole to chase the bat and grab the star key. Go back to the large piano room.

Large Piano Room

Use the star keys on the door then solve the minigame.

Enter the pool room.

Opening the Small Piano Room

Pool Room

Use the flower key on the vase and take the half-face. Use the wrench on the panel. Take the butterfly and the eye.

Go back to the entrance.

Castle Door

Click on the skull and put the eye in the orbit. Take the last butterfly and the pool ball. Go back to the large piano room.

Large Piano Room

Use the butterflies on their collection. Take the pool ball and the horse leg. Go back to the pool room.

Pool Room

Use the balls on the pool table and take the treble key and the piano key. Go back to the large piano room.

Large Piano Room

Use the treble key on the piano and click on the HO scene.

  • Put the 8 next 140
  • Switch the balls on the chest for the violin.
  • Put the bone on the skull.

You’ll retrieve the scorpion key.

Go back to the pool room.

Pool Room

Use the scorpion key on the door. Enter the next room.

Finding the Baron

Small Piano Room

Use the half-face on the bust. Take the piano key and the shield.

Go back to the meeting room.

Meeting Room

Use the shield on the armor to retrieve a spatual and a cross ornament. Go back to the small piano room.

Small Piano Room

Use the spatula on the wall with the safe behind. Put 1931 as code. Take the piano key.

Use the piano keys on the piano. Play the minigame.

Take the leaf key and the crown ornament in the drawer. Go back to the large piano room.

Large Piano Room

Use the leaf key on the door. Go to the next room.

Hiding Place

Put the horse leg on the incomplete horse.

Use the crowbar on the plank to reveal a paddle with two lezards.

Use the knife on the curtains and click for a HO game.

  • Restore the pipes
  • Use the half-face on the statue
  • Use the half ying-yang on the other half ying-yang.

You’ll retrieve a lezard ornament.

Go to the next room.

Stairs

Use the pickaxe on the wall. Take the cross ornament and the mirror shard.

Look inside the box. Use the dust feather. Take the lezard ornament and the crown one.

Go back to the hiding place.

Hiding Place

Use the lezards on the paddle. Take the mirror shard and the crown ornament. Go back to the pool room.

Pool Room

Use the crown ornaments on the painting. Take the grapes and the rubber gloves. Go back to the stairs.

Stairs

Well, advance to the next room.

Kitchen Hallway

Open the electricity panel. Use the rubber gloves on it then the screwdriver on the metal panel. Take the marble part in the box.

Go to the kitchen.

Kitchen

Look at the cabinet. You’ll find a golden handle. Go back to the stairs.

Stairs

Use the golden handle on the music box in the wall. Take the horse head. Go back to the hiding place.

Hiding Place

Complete the horse statue and take the last cross ornament. Go back to the kitchen.

Kitchen

Use the cross ornaments on the door. Play the minigame.

  • First: blue – red – green
  • Second: red – green – yellow – blue – pink
  • Third: pink – green – red – cyan – orange – yellow – blue – purple

Click on the HO scene.

  • Restore the plate
  • Plant the dart in the target

You’ll retrieve the marble part.

Go back to the kitchen hallway.

Kitchen Hallway

Use the marble parts on the wall. Reconstitue the picture. Take the stairs to the basement.

Stairs to Basement

Use the glove on the hole in the wall to retrieve the grapes. Go to the basement.

Destroying the Machine

Basement

After the cutscene, take a look at the chest and take the grapes. Return to the kitchen.

Kitchen

Look at the cabinet and use the grapes on the item. Take the skull key and the spoon.

Put the spoon on the pan in the fire.

Go to the basement.

Basement

Use the skull key on the chest. Take the glue and the arrow part. Go back to the stairs.

Stairs

Look at the box and use the glue on the broken mirror. Use the shards on it. Go back to the basement.

Basement

Use the mirror where the ray is hitting the ground. Then look at the destroyed armor and take the bow key and the magnet. Take the bellows in the crate. Go back to the kitchen.

Kitchen

Use the bellows on the fire and take with the glove the melt silver.

Hiding Place

Use the bow key on the quiver. Retrieve the arrow part. Go back to the entrance.

Castle Door

Use the magnet on the fence on the ground to retrieve the arrowhead. Go to the stairs.

Stairs

Use the arrow head on the mold (near the painting pots). Then pour the melted silver to make a new arrowhead. Go the basement.

Basement

Use the arrow parts and arrowheads on the crossbow. Then use the weapon on the machine.
