Coffin Of Ashes – All Ending Guide

Overview

I finally completed the game so I decided to make a walkthrough for all the endings. This will contain info on how to get the achievements that you can’t get automatically. If I messed anything up or I missed anything please let me know! If you have any questions as well I’ll try to answer them!

First Floor

When you first enter the house, save at the black rabbit. Afterwards, go right.
Observe the hole and then proceed into the bathroom. Go into the third stall then try to leave the room. Go into the second stall then leave the room. Leave that area and save.
Go to the locked door on the left side and unlock it. Pick up the stick.
Go to the Storage room. The password is 2781.
Push aside the boxes, read the sign and then get a hammer from the bucket. Leave the room. You can go back in after you leave if you want.
Go back to the right hall and use the stick on the mouse hole (The game will do this automatically) to get the Drawing Room key.
Enter the Drawing Room and click on the second half of the wide book shelf. Read the paper.
Click on the hole and use the hammer. Go into the hole.
There are two rooms, the main hall and the Staff Lounge. Enter the main hall and save. Go up the stairs to get the achievement: Blood Pond.
After saving, go down and get the wood. Then go back to Staff Lounge. Check the book shelves and read the diary.
Check the drawer next to the upper left bed for a healing potion. Check the drawer next to the upper right bed for a matchbox.
Interact with the lower left bed and then make a fire. Interact with the drawer next to the lower left bed. Leave the room and go into the main hall. Save and go upstairs.

Second Floor

Go to the left and go into the study. Interact with the shinies, then the note on the table. Pull the lever for a code. It will tell you how many spaces you should move from the statue. If you can’t figure it out it is on the middle bookshelf to the left of the shiny. Face downwards from the books and you will find a secret. The leave the room.
Follow the blood into the storage room. Get the rope and read the book, then leave. Go to the main hall with the mirror. A bunny will be there and you can save.
Go back to the area you once were before you saved, go left and up until you get to a meal and a cup of coffee. Pour the coffee out of the cup and get what was inside.
Drink the coffee for the achievement A Bit Too Bitter. Del will refuse to drink the coffee, but after choosing the option enough she will drink it.
Go back to the main hall, save, and go right. Click on the armor first if you want the achievement: That was Painful…, but otherwise interact with the lever and then the armor to get a key.
Use the key to unlock Someone’s bedroom and interact with the shiny, then leave the room.
Go back into the main hall and then go into the left hall. Go to the kitchen which was next to the storage room. Interact with the small drawer then go into the next area in the kitchen. You can save there before entering the Dining Hall.
Interact with the notes and some of the things on the table before trying to leave the room. A chase scene will begin and you must keep hitting the door to escape. Go into the main hall and rush past the mirror. It will break and will drop the Balcony Key. You must pick up this key. Go into the left hall and go up and then left and up again. Use the Balcony Key on the door past the meal and coffee. Watch the cutscene.
Interact with the shinies and save. Make a separate save file for the choice coming up ahead.
Leave the room and go into the left hall. Head towards the Balcony and you will be stopped by Lilin. The choice you make here will decide your ending.
Choose Really? to continue onto the true ending and to get the ending: Going In Circles.
Choose Can I trust you? to get the ending: Farewell.
You’ll get the Staircase Key from her. Go to the staircase and read the sign. Go up the stairs and save at the bunny.

Third Floor

Interact with the rat three times. Tell him no and get the Reading Room Key.
Interact with the clothed object.
Use the key on the first room on the right. Check out the papers on the desk before you go down the stairs and the shinies around the room.
Take note of the number of flowers and their colors.
Read the papers on the long desk. Go the row with the lone shiny and interact with the books to the right of it to acquire a scarlet book. Put the book on the table, opposite of the papers, and you’ll get a gold coin. Read the papers again for the achievement: No Need To Say Thanks.
Leave the room and go into the room on the left. Talk to the maid and say you’ll help her.
Stand on the carpet by the water and interact with the water twice.
Go into the tent. It will be dark and you will have no idea where you’re going. Normally I go left then up and the right, but I have no idea if that’s right. Basically move around and hit enter until you get a bucket, then try your hardest to find a way out of the tent. Hopefully that won’t take too long.
After you leave the tent, leave the room.
Go up and save before you go into the open door. Interact with the piano, the notes on the wall, and the bookshelf.
Try to leave the room. Interact with the piano. The answer is F.
Interact with the clock and you enter the passage by the bookshelf. Get the coin and the Kid’s Bedroom Key, then leave the room.
Use the key on the second room on the right. Interact with the rabbits and the bookshelves.
Interact with the drawer. The password is 4519.
Get the last gold coin and leave the room so you can give them to the rat. He’ll give you the courtyard key.
Save and then use the key on the iron bars.
Read the pillars and they will tell you a color. The colors correspond to the flowers in the reading room.
Interact with the door on the left and input the password you got from the pillars and the flowers.
The password is 686.
Interact with the well once and then go back to the pond you saw before. Interact with it to fill the bucket then dump the water into the well.
Go back and save, then go back into the courtyard and go into the right door.
Watch out for the puddles and the spirits, they will make you lose health.
When you enter the cave go left, then up, then left, and up. Look at the stone and pick up the key from the water.
Go left and then up when you get back to the beginning of the cave. Go up the vine, then go up, past the hole. You’ll see a little piece that goes up, go there and you’ll enter the room that the hole would take you into. Go down the vine, get the slime, and then leave the cave.
Go to the back to the left and use the small key on the cabin.
Enter the cabin, interact with the envelope and pick up the Delicate Key.
Interact with the table to rest. Ask Lilin all the questions then leave.
Go back and rest again to get the achievement: Rest Well.
Leave the courtyard and save. Give the maid the slime and she will clear the path which was blocked.
Interact with the shinies then enter the room on the right. Talk to the man then leave.
Use the Delicate Key on the door next to the chair.
Pass through the room about four times and the ghosts will eventually stop you.
Play their game and after winning you will be able to move onwards.
Interact with the bookshelves then go upstairs.

Fourth Floor

Interact with the bookshelf then go right.
There will be a wall that looks odd in between the spikes. Interact with it then enter the passage.
Get the blue orb and leave.
There will be a bunny where you can save.
Go down the stairs and read the sign.
The levers should be placed like this: The leftmost lever should be in the middle position. The middle lever should be left alone. The right lever should be in the right position.
Go down the stairs and get the red orb. Read the sign and remember the numbers.
Leave and go upstairs to talk to the shadow.
Go left and interact with the door.
The password is 12.
Go through the maze and get the green orb, then leave.
Save and go to the doors on the right. Enter the first door.
To go through this, go left on the space above the cracked title on the left.
To get the achievement: Fear No More, open all the boxes without dying.
The correct box is the second box on the right.
Leave the room and enter the room next to it. Use the seeds on water and get the purple orb.
Once you have that orb leave the room, save, and interact with the iron door up the stairs.
Interact with the tombstone. Go left four times, and south twice.
Interact with the wall and use the ring.
Go down the hole.
Interact with the shinies. The map will tell you the order of the pillars for the password to get into the next area. The password is 1963.
Go upstairs and input the password.
Save.
When you go down the hall, a figure will come at you and if it hits you, you will lose health.
To get the achievement: Close Encounter, dodge the spirit by going into the crevice then go down where he came from. This may take you a couple tries.
Go into the room and interact with the sign. Get the Iron Key and get out of there.
Enter the next area through the crevice and go up the stairs. Use the key.
Go upstairs and into the room on the right. There will be a save point.
Interact with the wall where the handprint is.
Talk to the man to get a white jade and interact with the shinies, then leave.
Go to the area on the left. Enter the first door you see. Open the sack above the broken barrel to get the Brown Key and read the book before leaving. Use the Brown Key on the door at the end of the hall and talk to the butler.
Get the butterfly from the hall and interact with the second box from the top.
You’ll get a Grey Key, a potion and an achievement: Herbal Tea.
Go back to the right area, save, and use the Grey Key on the door.
Pull the switch and leave the area.
Go back to the main hall of this area.
Interact with the painting and go in the passage.
Pull the switch, leave and go back and save before progressing through the open door.
Go up and interact with the shiny. A chase scene will begin.
Leave where you came from and once you have the option to go either up or down, go up.
Go through the hole.
To get the bad ending: Ashes In Coffin, you must get caught in this area.
In this area, go down and then right until you find a lever. This lever will open gate.
The spirits will harm you if you get caught by them.
Once you find the gate, leave and just keep going until you get to the exit.
Watch your ending.
If you got Going In Circles you will be given the option to make a new save file which is the save file for the true end.

True Ending/Basement

For the true ending you will have Ian rather than Lilin in your party. You get this ending the second time you play the game. Everything is essentially the same until you get to the part where Lilin would have split up with you.

When you’re able to move, interact with the sign ahead of the crystal. This will cause stairs to appear. Go down these stairs.
There will be five pillars. You have to touch them in a specific order to progress.
The order is: The Only, II, Tarot Queen, Square, Leo.
When you finish go back up and save.
Then go back down and right. This next room you’ll have to go extremely slow in as there are no walls and you can fall and die.
Touch the slate in that room to remove the bars blocking the way on the left. After you leave the room go back and save before progressing.
In the left room there will be four paths. Go up the third one and when you see the path to go right, go that way and then up to find the last slate.
Go down the stairs that appear, read the letter, and touch the crystal.
After Del joins your party again, go to the hole you couldn’t access before.
Pull both levers which create another hole, then leave.
Go down the stairs and save. Becareful of the flame spirits.
Go to the right and move the rocks out of the way to get a sector slate.
Move the rock under the two rocks all the way to the right. Move the rock that is now available down and the one next to it to the right. Move the rock down and the last rock down.
Save after getting the slate and go towards the left side of the room to get a shovel. Go back to the hole in the wall and dig up the hole revealed by the levers. You’ll get another sector slate.
Go back to the room where you got the shovel and go up to groove.
Go up the stairs. You should probably save here.
Pull the lever and then look at the map in the middle of the room. In order to solve this puzzle, you’ll need to mentally (or just take a picture) rotate the map so you can get the password right. The numbers correspond to the order they will have in the password for the room in the middle. The knights will have numbers on them. The password is: 631542
In the room, interact with both shinies.
Leave the room.
Pull the lever by the door and get a broken key. Pull the other lever.
Go the door 1, the key will unlock it.
Step on the middle circle. Then step on the circle to the right. Step on the circle bottom circle. Step on the right circle. Get Key 3 and leave the room.
Unlock room 3. Get the shiny and Key 2 from the barrel. Move the chair aside and unlock room 2. Get key 4 and leave.
At this point the knights are moving around and they will kill you if they catch you.
Unlock room 4 and talk to the crying woman.
Follow her outside the room and catch her to get Key 5.
Unlock room 5 and get the golden key. Read the notes on the other table and talk to the figure.
Get a silver key from the leftmost bed and leave the room.
Unlock the double doors. Read the note on the wall and talk to the pianist.
A chase scene will begin, leave the room and go to the room where you can save.
Go through the opening.
Touch the red crystal.
Watch the cutscene.
When you’re able to move again, just try to get to the enterance.
Walk to the door.
After this all you can do is watch the true ending: Rebirth. Hope you enjoyed the game. For the rest of the achievements you didn’t get such as CG Fangirl or Extra Content, don’t worry.
