Ep. 5 – How To Get Everyone On Your Vault Team

Overview

Sadly, you can’t take everyone from the amazing cast with you, but this guide will take you through all choices, dialogue options and money you will need to get characters on your vault team!

The People In Question

In total there are seven ‘vault hunters’ you can choose from to join your side. Seeing as vault hunters work best in groups of four, and you already have five people (Rhys, Fiona, Sasha, Vaughn and Loaderbot) you can sadly only pick three of the following:

1). Athena
2). August
3). Cassius
4). Felix
5). Janey
6). Mystery Option
7). Zero

This guide will show you how to convince all of these folks to join your team!

Athena

Athena is one of the easiest people to get on your side. Back in Episode 4 – ‘Escape Plan Bravo’, you need to tell Janey Springs that Athena loves her while back at Scooter’s garage during a scene as Fiona. Athena will then be grateful as you’ve saved her realtionship, and will join your vault team.

August

Now, you remeber that option back in Episode 3 – ‘Catch A Ride’? The one where you have to tell Vallory the person responsible for the deal gone wrong, and she ends up blasting Vasquez in the chest? Crazy, right? Well, if you told her it was August’s fault (which quite a few people did) he won’t join your team as he’s a bit angry with you for making his mum pull out his nose ring. So, in order for August to tag along you need to tell Vallory it was either Vasquez’s or Felix’s fault for screwing up the deal.

Cassius

Everyone’s favoruite mad scientist who has lost his wife, his son, and his cat (just not in that order) can be brought along for the final showdown! Again, it is quite easy to get Cassius on side, all you have to do is stop Athena from gutting him back in Episode 3 – ‘Catch A Ride’, and he’ll be more than helpful to put his genius to work. I have to say, I picked Cassius, and the result was hilarious!

Felix

Felix, Felix, Felix. Why would you want to bring the man who betrayed you to a vault full of riches, eh? Well, in fact, you can’t. But, if you do decide to pick him, he will leave you a nice $9,000,000 which will help you recruit another vault hunter (more info on this later in the guide!). All you need to do to get this money is tell him the briefcase has a bomb in it back in Episode One – ‘Zero Sum’. Because, you know, he won’t be dead.

Janey

Most people would have been able to take Janey Springs with them. This is because it’s all about if you honoured Scooter after his heroic sacrafice in Epiosde 4 – ‘Escape Plan Bravo’. If you picked the option to launch the sign, Janey will be most pleased at your choice of rememberance, and will be more than happy to join your team.

Mystery Option

Now I didn’t pick the mystery option, mainly because I was a little disapointed with who it turned out to be. Some people love him, some people hate him – it’s Claptrap. I personally don’t see why you’d bring him along when there are more awesome Tales characters to choose from, but each to their own. To hire Claptrap you need money. A lot of money. Like, all of the money in the game. It helps if Felix comes along with that sweet dosh, though…

Zero

And we finally come to everybody’s favourite assassin – Zero! To get Mr. Totaly Awseome on your team, we once again have to go back to Episode 3 – ‘Catch A Ride’. When Fiona has the fight with Mordecai in the bio-dome, he will ask her who the hell she is. If you reply that you’re a vault hunter, word will spread of Fiona’s name in the vault hunting community. Zero will hear of your exploits, and he wants to see you in action. Sweet.

Your Team Is Ready!

Thanks so much for reading this guide, and I hope it helps in getting you your perfect vault team at the end of Episode 5. Now go get that monster!
