How to redeem '3rd Echelon' map - [DEPRECATED; GAMESPOT REMOVED THE PAGE] for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

[DRAFT] Why Steam Community?

Overview

It is an important question. We believe partnering with Valve is the most strategic business move we can make and here is why.

The Big Picture – Part 1 of ?

Why Steam?Steam is a sort of best kept secret that delivers a lot of solutions with little compromises.1.) Steam is not new to “enter buzz word here” they have been innovating within the advanced user sector since the 90s. Many of the new things that come out today and have huge marketing campaigns behind them were solved by Valve a long time ago. Open sourced and then these are modifications of Valves innovation. Always compare the amount of users on any new platform verses Steams 50 million active user base. With over 150 million registered users. Also look at that retention rate? (double check those stats)2.) Valve is an open garden not a walled garden. To borrow from the modification word above and expand upon it. In their developer wiki Valve states clearly they are a company formed from other modders. They believe in a balanced intellectual property and libre approach to everything. With Valve you can 3D print their IP, put IoT in it and market it on Steam. You can mod their games and apps. Hammer is more like a 3d CAD design program than a simple scene editor. Steam also already works on Mac, Linux and Windows and on arm Rasp. Pi and iOS/Android devices. Why pick a platform when you can be on all of them without borders.3.) Valve continues to break down barriers to entry for the small studio/business. Valve calls us indie’s. Opening up new opportunities for growth in AR/VR, IoT with Steam Link, microtransactions on DotA 2 HTML interfaces, esports and modern entertainment. If we want to talk marketing and entertainment. When Gabe Newell founder of Valve left Microsoft in the 90s he left because he saw that Games would be the new medium for content and entertainment in the future. This was in the 90s he saw that. Think how far ahead Steam already is in R&D and for indies that can’t catch a break and new need untapped opportunities to grow and build in. This is the place. 4.) We are always asked when approached for contract work what makes us different. It is an easier answer, we use Valve and Steam tech and platform. That is what makes us not only different, but better.
i can go on , maybe draft it in your verbage and i can add to yours

the other part of it, is the community itself. though perhaps rough around the edges and uncensored. you will not find a more hard core, get stuff done, help other get stuff done community with the chops to tears stuff down to its core and rebuild it better than ever.

lastly as all platforms can become one with steam, we can look at how Unity (tutorials in part 7 of this series blah blah) can float between google docs and Unity Docs. The same can be done with Steam, floating between the platforms, playing in their backyards so to speak.https://forum.unity.com/threads/introducing-user-contributed-notes-for-unity-docs.499404/

Lastly, take a look at Space Nerds in Space. Complete example of a game being used to teach and connect physical locations like a Steam Hackerspace Cafe? Providing the backbone of networking, hardware and sensor data in a non dry way so you stay awake in the class. Right scripts in lua at runtime and do stuff at same level Flight Towers and navy command centers use. Need we say more?http://www.ocsmag.com/2015/05/31/space-nerds-in-space-interview/

Be sure to watch videos about radar sensor at his site.
I think this point is good for a developing country….games and they way the steam community takes them apart, learns and mods them. Is how we learn and grow in the tech world. We play games not to be lazy, but to imagine future scenario and then build them.
Then this point.
When we were young we did sports to learn to follow rules, so we could then follow the rules of society. In the same way game rules let us practice rules in other context so we can make life happen there too.

could start the conference with power phrases like this…”and that is how the game is played””hit a home run””that idea is out in left field””punt it””hail mary””oh, man…they sacrificed everything for that play”games…can they help teach and prepare us for real world scenerios?link to microsoft esports in dynamics 365, link to eve online economy being used to test business softwaregames are the next big thing for business, entertainment and social media. everything is becoming more like the other but they all want to be more intuitive and game like.”easy like in a video game”

Make Games Not Apps:Why start with games first? They started as a game company, and then turned it into a service and now a platform that exists on every device and is used by millions daily. Not just for games, but for social engagement, collaboration and further innovation.Take Valve itself as an example. They borrowed from the best open source game engine at the time, slowly iterated on it based on user input. Won over 50 awards, they then expanded into other services and online offerings. Hardware. Are known for making linux a household name. Solving graphics on Mac and Linux. Solving VR. Solving esports. Solving mulitplayer. Solving user contribution and more than a game mindset. Steam is where engineers and non casual gamers go to GROW. Not to goof off but to create, meet others and share ideas and build groups together that have goals and accomplish their dreams.
