Yuppie Psycho: Executive Edition Guide

Familiar's Illustrations & VHS Locations for Yuppie Psycho

Familiar’s Illustrations & VHS Locations

Overview

Locations of all the familiar’s illustrations, the VHS/Lost Tapes and the “Voice” cassette.

Preface

This guide will help you find the 9 familiar’s illustrations (needed for the Illustration achievement), the 10 VHS (needed for the Be Kind, Rewind achievement), the 2 lost tapes (needed to fulfill your completionisme obsession) and the “Voice” cassette (needed for the Voice achievement).

This guide won’t go into details for the Voice and Be Kind, Rewind as there is already a guide for that. This will just be a visual support in case you struggle in finding the VHS. Just keep in mind that only collecting them is not enough to get the achievement.

Be Warned: This guide contain images and explanations that may spoil you parts of the game. Continue at you own risk.

Important Informations

Hugo’s Party

As you should know, the game is separated into two distinct parts, namely before Hugo’s party and after. Some parts of the map will change and some floors will become unavailable. Make sure to get what you need before opening the tomb and triggering the party event.
I will specify for each item if they are available before or after the party (or all the time).

Note: The illustration of The White Wolf actually has an event that needs to be started with a tricky time window. I recommend to check the White Wolf’s section of this guide first if you don’t want to miss it.

The Dot Matrix’s Lair

Be extremely careful when you go for the Dot Matrix on the 4th floor. You need to reset the second cubicle you encounter on the map or you will not be able to get back to the Dot Matrix’s lair after the boss fight.
Failing to do so will prevent you from getting the “Voice” cassette and may make you miss the “The Weary Human Face” VHS (the VHS is available before the boss fight, but if you didn’t got it you will need the map to be accessible for you to come back).

If the cubicle behind Brian is as shown on this image, the path is blocked and you won’t be able to come back.
This is the correct position as it frees the crawling path above.

You need to talk to her at least once and she will leave once you give the photo to Sintra.

Then you can be on your merry way again and come back once the woman has left. She will leave the White Wolf’s illustration behind.

This is the last VHS needed for the Be Kind, Rewind achievement. Note that once you go for this VHS, you won’t be able to go back, so you need to free Sosa and watch the 9 other VHS before that (you don’t need to watch this one to get the achievement, not that you can anyway).

The tenth VHS is found in the underwater section of the endgame, in a suitcase in the south-east part of the maze. It is protected by a mine, so you will need a pencil to get to it.

Availability
Before Hugo’s Party
Requirements
Having cleared the Dot Matrix fight

Once you have fought the Dot Matrix, you can go back to the 8th floor (ideally through the shortcut in the 5th floor bathroom if you have unlocked it) to get the VHS.
The second lost tape is in the wooden boat where a naked employee was sitting the first time you went through the river.

The Voice Cassette Tape

Floor
4th
Availability
Before Hugo’s Party
Requirements
Going back to the Dot Matrix’s lair after the boss fight. If the path to the lair is blocked, you didn’t read the “Important Informations” part of this guide and I hope you are ashamed.

The cassette tape is found in the wooden box near the hole where you jumped to escape the Dot Matrix.

Afterword

That’s it. If I got anything wrong or forgot something, do tell me and I will edit this guide. I can finally put this game to rest until an eventual DLC comes out.

Good luck in your search!
