Overview
A guide to completing the Nightmare on Easy Street event within the time frame. Includes a purchase guide and some insights for the event.
Introduction
This will be a guide on finishing the “Nightmare on Easy Street” event. I’m writing this guide during the October 2018 edition of the event, so any changes to the game might make this info outdated. Just by finishing this event you should get a decent rank, but to make it into the top 100 you’ll need to play A LOT, optimize my strategy, and possibly make some in-game purchases.
This event features a boost button that gives a 12x boost for as long as it is active. With only 9 seconds of leeway, I made the decision to use an auto-clicker. An auto-clicker helps by letting you refresh your boost quickly, burn through the 4 hour cooldown timer, and keep an active boost while AFK. With the purchases in this guide and an auto-clicker I was able to finish the event in about 6 hours of semi-focused play. This means that without a clicker you can beat it safely in 3-5 days of normal play. The choice to use a clicker is yours, but I will include a section with instructions on how to use one at the end of the guide for those who want that info.
Once you hit every star milestone in this event you will unlock an exchange tab to get mega bucks. Just by hitting the milestones you will get about 7 megabucks, 5 gold, and some time boosts. Rewards for a good rank (rank 6 or 7) include 25 to 100 megabucks, as well as an exclusive badge. A good way to boost your rank is to wait until as late as possible and use as many boosts as you are comfortable using. This bolsters your angels and can help secure a rank or jump you to a higher rank.
With all of that said, let’s get to the actual guide.
General Advice
This event is fairly straightforward. Buy upgrades as they come and top off every item when they become cheap. I’ll be covering the major jumps in income, but you should be buying safe stuff as able.
General advice:
- Reset at ~50 angels and then double them each time.
- Equip any badges for the event that you unlock as you unlock them.
- Keep the boost running for as long as possible. 12x is nothing to scoff at.
The pacing was pretty even throughout, so I’ll be breaking the purchases into groups of five for ease of following.
Here are the items you can purchase as well as what I will be calling them:
- Golden apple bobbing = apples
- Best suit contest = suits
- Monster mash DJ = DJs
- Sewer tours = sewers
- Insufficient fun house = fun houses
- Cereal killer house = cereal houses
- Scary tale house = scary houses
- Prankenstein house = prank houses
- Last mansion on the left = mansions

Auto-Clicker Guide
The auto-clicker that I used is called AutoClicker, and was written by user mousetool on SourceForge. Here is the link[sourceforge.net] to their page that contains information about the program as well as the download link. This is the clicker that I will cover for this guide, but any clicker should do the trick.
WARNING: Always download executables with caution. This worked for me without any harm, but I’m not responsible if things go south for you. A clicker program is going to be pretty benign, but just be careful since this is the internet.
Once you have the executable you can run it without any installation. Here is an image of the program window.
Here is an image of the program window with key features pointed out.
1 – This sets how quickly the auto-clicker clicks. Set this to 1ms when you want to get rid of the 4 hour boost cooldown, and 1ms to 100ms for normal clicking. I’m not sure if it can cause lag, but the faster it clicks the better.
2 – This sets where the clicker will click when it is enabled. If set to “current location” it will click wherever your mouse cursor is. If set to “pick location” it will let you select a spot on your screen to snap to and start clicking.
3 – These are the manual start / stop buttons. You don’t need to use these if you set a good toggle hotkey, but it’s good to know where they are.
4 – This lets you set the hotkey to toggle the clicker on and off. The default key is “F6”, but you should pick a key that is convenient for you. My mouse has additional buttons, so I used one of those. Here is a picture of the window that comes up to let you change the hotkey.
Simply click the “start / stop” button and then hit the key you want to use as a toggle. The program accepts combinations of keys as well (such as “ALT + K”).
I set up my clicker to snap to the run button that adds time to your boost. This let me keep the boost topped off between purchases and upgrades without worrying about aiming the cursor myself. The “current position” option works fine as well, so choose whatever works best with your playstyle.
Conclusion
Thank you for reading this. I hope that you get some goodies and have a fun time with this event. If you see any errors in this guide please point them out so I can fix them.
Happy Halloween!
