Overview
Char creation in Dragonfall. A comparison between the standard archetypes and my choice.
Introduction
Dragonfall has been a great DLC for Shadowrun Returns.
Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut is a standalone release and the owners of the DLC get it for free.
The Director’s Cut adds new content and enhancements to the original game: 5 new missions, more alternate endings, new music, a redesigned interface, team customization options, a revamped combat system and more.
Because of all these improvements to the game, you can’t import characters and save files from the original DLC.
Char customizing
I like to customize my char because I want a Assault Rifle Decker.
I think strength is wasted in the standard Decker skilling.
You can make your own skilling or choose one of the 6 prefabricated standard skillings (archetypes):
- Decker
- Street Samurai
- Rigger
- Physical Adept
- Shaman
- Mage
In the table you see my skilling compared with the standard skillings (all with human race).
Humans have (+3) additional remaining karma points.
Race
Every race has different limits for the attributes and a bonus:
Limits
Some effects can be equalizing: An elf Decker and a human Decker with 3 charisma have the same stats and the same remaining karma.
In dialogues you can have additional options depending on your race.
For my skilling you can choose an elf, a dwarf, an ork or a human.
I’ve choosen an elf.
