Overview
Did you leave Leaf Blower Revolution running in the background for 400 hours, and now Steam thinks you’re interested in a ton of other idle games that don’t involve blowing leaves? Here’s how to blow them away for good.
Introduction
Is Steam recommending a ton of idle games to you “because you played Leaf Blower Revolution for 400 hours”?
Would you be happy if Steam never recommended an idle game again?
Steam allows you to specify tags to exclude from store listings. This will prevent games with those tags from appearing anywhere in the store. So be warned — you won’t be able to discover new idle games if you do this.
Excluding Tags
If you’re sure you want to exclude all idle games from the Steam store, here are the steps:
- Go to your Store preferences page, either via the provided link or your account menu in the upper-right corner of the Steam app
- On the preferences page, scroll down to the “Tags to Exclude” section
- In the textbox shown below, type “Idler” and click the tag that pops up
- If you also want to exclude “Clicker” games, add that tag
This change will apply immediately.
