Bloons TD Battles Guide

STARTER GUIDE for Bloons TD Battles

STARTER GUIDE

Overview

In this guide I will explain a good way to start off in Bloons TD.

DISCLAIMER

This is a very old guide that I made, when the game first came out.
It’s pretty outdated. If you have any problems try a differend source than this.
I won’t update this guide any further. (As long as I don’t find my way back to this game)

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the free Tower Defence game Bloons TD Battles!
If you are here I guess you’re looking for help.
Well, I’m here to help you and give you a good start into the game. Well… lets get started!

First Steps

After you played the Tutorial you already have some groundknowlege of the game.
If you skipped it make sure to play it. It is really important.
You can find it in the Quick Play Menu in the bottom right corner:
<———–

After that you want to make sure that your Savestate is backed up via Cloud. This is currently not automated and you have to connect your Ninjakiwi Account (recommended) or Steam account.

Backing up your Savestate:

Press on the “Back up Data” Button on the bottom left corner of the Main Menu. (if you are already logged in you will see your win/loss ratio and your Steam Account Picture instead)

Backup Data Button————————————->

When you pressed it you should see this. Just follow the instructions and you should be fine.
If you want to use an already existing Ninjakivi account while being already logged in with Steam please follow what the quote says below.

NOTE: If you’ve already created a separate Battles account on Steam before doing this, you’ll need to log out, which you can do by deleting the following folders:

Windows – C:Program Files (x86)Steamuserdata{{userid}}444640
Mac OS – ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/{{userid}}/44640

If you are already Connected with a Ninjakivi Account and also want to connect your Steam account, Just press on your Win/loss stats as stated in the first Picture, and then press “Manage Profile” on the Bottom right.

And now lets get started on the acual gameplay.

Battle Energy

Within the game is a system called Battle Energy. ()
With it you can do multiple things:

Name
Effect
Spy
2
Spy on the opponent and see his picked Monkeys before the game and what kind of Bloons he sends ingame.
Roll a random Tower
1 (3 for reroll)
Get a random tower with fully unlocked Abilitys
Tower Boost
1
Towers attack super fast!
Bloon Boost
1
Bloons travel way faster than usual

You regenerate 1 every 12 minutes.

Gamemodes

Bloons TD Battles offers multiple gamemodes to Choose from.
You can access them all over the Quick play Menu.

Here is a List of them all:

Assault Mode:

The most played Gamemode of them all!
In this gammode you build up your income by sending your Enemy Bloons.
The best way to increse your income in this Mode is spamming the Bloons from the top row.
The Best Bloon to spam is the Pink one you get in round 10.
Most of the lower row Bloons are there to get your Enemy to struggle.

Spectate what kind of defences your enemy builds and send them bloons that might get them in Trouble. Use Regrow and Camo extras if you want to go for the kill!

Defensive Mode:

In the Defensive Mode you generate income by spending Money.
You can’t send or boost Bloons in this gamemode.
Use your Tower Boost and Money wisely.
The person that survives the longest wins!

Practice Mode:

Losing in this mode wont affect your Win/Loss stats. This mode is purely to Practise your Skills in the game. It is simply the Defensive gamemode without an Opponent. Feel free to do whatever you like!

Battle Arenas:

In this section you can play the Assault mode to win alot of Medallions. 2 Players put in the chosen amount of Medallions and the winner takes the Pot. In the non Club Arenas you have free Powerups to even the winchances. I don’t recommend this gamemode to new players, since most of the advanced Players play here and you can loose alot of Medallions this way.
(My Record is 1500 in a row within 3 matches)

Be very carefull while playing here. It can cost you alot.

Early Towers

At the start you will have a few Towers to choose from.
Here they are, all in thier Basic form.
(Weaknesses and Strength determend for fully Upgraded Towers. (2/2))

$360
Ninja Monkey

Big Cluster, Lead
$500
Bomb Tower
Big Cluster, Pops Lead
Fast Bloons, Camo
$650

What Towers should I buy first?

1. Monkey Apprentice
Because of his 2. Skill the Lightning Bolt. It will give you enough poping power to destroy alot of the early rushes. Play with it until you are used to it. Also don’t forget to buy the Monkey Sense if there are Camo Baloons coming up.

2. Monkey Buccaneer
After you got the Monkey Apprentice you should get something you can use on Water levels. The Buccaneers are your only choise currently so you have to go with them.

3. Spike Factory
A Spike Factory will help you to keep your lives up to a good level.
Which is pretty important in the early game.

4. Glue gunner or Mortar
If possible get bouth.
The Glue gunner will help you alot to slow everything down so your other Towers can pop everything better.
The Mortar is an alternative to the Bomb Tower. It can stop big groups of Bloons, that the enemy might send to build up thier income.

Upgrades for towers you like to use are more important than new Towers.
One last Tip: Don’t get the Super Monkey too early. It is pretty useless until you can level it up to Level 3.
