Citizens Unite!: Earth x Space Guide

New content guide! for Citizens Unite!: Earth x Space

New content guide!

Overview

This guide will cover how to explore the new content in both games. COVERED: New characters, along with guides on how to collect all books. (No pics, sadly….) NOT COVERED: Anything that wasn’t part of the new content. I hope this stuff helps! WARNING: This should be real obvious, but spoilers up ahead!

New Citizens!

(CS) Photon : Very easy to find, hard to beat. Complete the Waveform challenge in the lower left corner of space, and this citizen is yours!

(CS) VP : In the Ship, collect the new earth piece, then retrieve Earth’s water. Access the new area, go through, watch the cutscene, and he is now on your team!

(CS) Quack McCool : Found on Earth, after recovering both buildings and mountains. Save him from the Anchory Gang, and you’ll have him!

(CE) Bigfoot : Found in Flushmoor, you need to corner him into the lower left section, and then talk to him.

(CE) Ambassador : Found in the Capital, directly south of the Capitol Building. After clearing it, you’ll find him “ambassing” various problems. Clear them all, and he’s on the team!

(CE) Opposition Leader : All you have to do is visit the posters of VP around the world after receiving the quest. Then simply return after interacting with them all.

Librarian : This one is practically unmissable, but very important. During the course of your adventures, you’ll run into your first Chrony. Defeat it, and return the book to the strange stand you most likely saw earlier. You’ll fight another Chrony, then he’ll ask you to do the same in the other game. Doing this also unlocks the VP and Ambassador recruitment quests.

Talents and you!

I realize that you may wanna know what the new citizens have for talents. Which I shall now tell you.

(CS) VP: The infamous “Go!” skill is obtained with this citizen. Level 2 grants the ability to use it on bushes for extra goodies, and Level 3 does the same for smash blocks.

(CE) Ambassador: Allows you to break smash blocks for as long as he’s in the party. Level 1 lets you break red, Level 2 breaks blue, and Level 3 smashes green.

Librarian: Allows you to return books, and challenge the final boss. Higher levels adds onto how many books you can return. (If someone has exact details, tell me. It would really help!)

(CE) Opposition Leader: Like the Reporter in Space, he has a similar list. Tells you data about your Citizens and Drive-in Highscores, along other things. The higher levels allow you to see more of the list.

(CS) Quack McCool: Allows you to run into people to steal cash from them. Level 2 gives the ability to steal items as well, and Level 3 ups the amount and quality. (Not totally sure about Level 3….but hey, better than nothing.)

(CE) Bigfoot: Makes it easier to sneak around enemies. Bigger levels improves your sneaking skills. Exact values are something I don’t have, but the difference is easily noticed.

(CS) Photon: Saving the least for last with this guy, all this one does is add a trail to your dash. Level 2 provides more color options, while Level 3 gives a rainbow trail. At least it looks nice!

New Equipment!

The new equipment isn’t hard at all to find. For it’s what you get as you return the books, and tied to a quest to boot! Unfortunately, I never recorded what came from where, though I know the equipment got better with higher numbers on the books you restored to access them. Still, completing the quest will take care of all that.

Books and how to get them!

This section covers the books you can recover. Very unpolished, but there aren’t many other guides yet, are there?

(CE) Book 1: Unmissable, you’ll have to obtain this one during the first “dungeon” area.

(CE) Book 2: Found in the Capital, you’ll need Ambassador’s talent to reach the Chrony guarding it.

(CE) Book 3: Guarded by another Chrony in the Grasslands. You’ll know it when you see it. It’s rather fun to smash all those blocks!

(CE) Book 4: Located in Sugarflats, on your way to the boss.

(CE) Book 5: In Camp Koo Koo, you’ll need Bigfoot’s Talent to get this one from the Chrony.

(CE) Book 6: Located in the Hedge Maze (surprisingly, not that difficult to find), behind green smash blocks. Level 3 is required here.

(CE) Book 7: Same place as 1, only after being flooded with sand.

(CE) Book 8: It’s the rare drop for Chronys. Keep fighting them and you’ll get it eventually.

(CE) Book 9: This one is a doozy. Comes from Farmer’s LEVEL 3 TALENT, which can already be a pain to get to, but also impossible to find items and 8,888 dollars, that require ingredients from the Alien Mothership enemies to even make. On the bright side, it doesn’t require you to fight a Chrony.

(CE) Book 10: Surprisingly easy to obtain. Remember the trailer, where there was a Chrony in Panjama? Selling the book for just 1,000 dollars! Easy as pie to obtain!

(CE) Book 11: Final one! Collected with the final Citizen of the era. Boss Tock probably won’t be too happy after you get it though….Be prepared for a tough fight!

(CS) Book 1: Once more, unmissable. You’ll find it on the Moon.

(CS) Book 2: Found on Charfrost, just melt the Chrony holding the book out. No fight required!

(CS) Book 3: Found in Tropicool. Same strategy as with the other game. Use Vice President’s talent, and voila!

(CS) Book 4: Found in Arbora Prime, same as Tropicool. Only this time you need Talent Level 2.

(CS) Book 5: Found on the way through Volcano Vixen’s arena.

(CS) Book 6: Found in the Galatico Offices, 2nd floor. You need the help of Quack McCool’s Level 2 Talent .

(CS) Book 7: Located in the Palace, it’s the same as 3 and 4, only with Level 3.

(CS) Book 8: Same as in CE. The rare drop for Chronys.

(CS) Book 9: Similar to the other game, locked behind the Chemist. Materials probably won’t be a problem with the Janitor, neither will credits, but 888 Cosmites is most likely going to take a while to earn. Materials are found on Arbora, Earth, and the final area.

(CS) Book 10: This one I found out of order on total coincidence, so there’s that. Found in the Vending Machine on Euphoria, for 8,888 credits.

(CS) Book 11: Postgame only, as it is rewarded after beating Super President. Get ready….as soon as you beat Boss Tock in the past. Also, so much meme……that’ll make sense when you get to the end.

Boss Tock Tips!

While I can’t reveal what the final boss actually looks like, I can teach you some tips.

ROUND 1: Boss Tock will appear with 2 Chronys, and his only move at this point is to try to put your entire team to sleep, which is a real hassle. His only elemental weakness is Static, and not many Citizens have Static skills. Take out his flunkies first: then wail on him until the REAL battle starts.

ROUND 2: NOW IT GETS WAY TOUGHER! Boss Tock has the highest health pool of any enemy in the era, and moves to match! He’ll steal your energy, along with putting you to sleep for longer, all with mega damage! He’s tough, but once you get into a rhythm, it’s not as bad. Take him down!

FINAL ROUND: Time for something completely different! You’ll be switching eras, and fighting as the Ambassador. Boss Tock can buff himself with an all-around buff that includes regen, still has that insane health pool, and can even attack your Reserve Citizens! Oh, and he still hits like a freight train. Best stock up on items!

MY RUN: For rounds 1 and 2, my team consisted of the Conspiracy Guy, Beekeeper, and Bigfoot. CG to take advantage of his myriad talents (plus to get the Almanac info), Beekeeper to heal and provide defense, and Bigfoot for plain old damage and area attacks. Worked pretty well, though I was freaking out by round 2, as I was not as prepared for what happened when he changed up so fast. Round 3, my main defense line was Quack McCool, Engineer, and VP/Captain. McCool can steal the buffs off Boss Tock, Engineer for high amounts of damage, Captain to keep his defense low, and VP as an all round, with items playing a big support. All in all, Boss Tock scores 9.5 in good design. Also, his theme SLAMS! Someone needs to post it somewhere!

Epilogue

Thanks for reading this! Yes, it’s an amateur guide, but this series has always been a favorite of mine, even if it hasn’t caught much attention, and is glitch ridden at times. I hope it helps in some way, and maybe I could write a better guide for the whole game with pictures and such sometime in the future? Who knows! If there is a next time, King Ultimax signing off!
