Dumbass Drivers! Handbook

Overview

Your official strategy guide to winning Dumbass Drivers! as leaked by the Russian government.Dumbass Drivers! can be a difficult game for some. You will start at the very bottom and it will take a little time to improve your racing skills and beat the races and missions. You will need to balance races with your cash flow. Patience and perseverance will pay off, but you may want to read this Handbook if you are stuck or having difficulty with a particular race or vehicle. Therefore, as this guide will help you beat the game, it should be considered a document of a highly spoilerish nature!> Understand the vehicles> Understand the tracks> Understand the missionsHere you’ll find plenty of information and hints. The most sensitive information is contained in spoiler tags -> like this and should only be used when there is literally nowhere else to turn!If you experience a technical error or have any further questions, please visit the Steam discussion board or contact us directly with our support form at http://www.screen7.co.uk/#!/supportWe hope you enjoy the game!

Getting Started / Controls Overview

The Aim Of The Game

To beat Dumbass Drivers! you must come 1st on 16 tracks and 4 missions. You can optionally complete 3 Jump Scare missions to earn extra cash and achievements.

You should keep your car in working order throughout the race by tapping F key or Y button to make minor repairs to your car with money you’ve earned. Any remaining damage at the end of the race will incur a repair fee.

Different tracks and different cars will sustain varying amounts of damage. Failure to prevent catastrophic damage will wreck your vehicle and end the race.

But in order to reach the top, you must stay well away from the bottom. You must keep your cash above $0 or you will lose the game.

Keep an eye out for some dumbass distractions! These items will help repair your car or earn you bonus cash during each race.

Phone -> Receive a phone call for cash! Time is slowed during the call.
Fast Forward -> Receive a cash prize for taking a risk! Time is sped up briefly.
Spanner -> Receive a free repair of 60 points of damage.

Troubleshooting / Known Issues

Troubleshooting

The game does not start.
> Does your PC meet the minimum requirements listed on the Steam store page? ie 64-bit OS.
> Has the game installed correctly on Steam? Right click in your Library and Verify files
> Is your Steam client running and connected to the internet?

The game does something strange/seems broken
Typically, a loss of connection to the internet should not render the game unplayable. However, the Steam API is new territory for us, so we are keeping an eye on whether a connection (or lack of) is unintentionally disabling some features. Please feel free to report any issues to us!

I’m experiencing lag!
We apologize if some lag is experienced during the game. Lower end PC’s may need to use a lower resolution & graphics setting in the game launcher. We are currently aware of one or two spots in the game where there is lag and we are working to optimize these parts ASAP.

My launch settings did not seem to save.
Our apologies, the game currently performs a first run check and your launch settings will be properly registered from the second run onwards. The first run check looks for any demo stats on your PC and makes sure they don’t interfere with the full game. Losing or winning the game also resets the first run check.

Some graphics seem broken
Playing the game in the lowest settings (typically using the Simple or Fast options in the launcher) will also reduce the rendering capacity. As such, the minimap may show some holes, or some 3D objects may appear out of shape. At present, we recommend playing the game using Average setting or higher.

The game crashed!
Please let us know. There are currently 0 known major bugs and 0 reports of game crashes. We aim to investigate, fix and update any problems as quickly as possible.

Other troubleshooting tips will be written here in due course!
