Overview
A guide for, as far as I know, the achievements of Waltz of the Wizard: Extended EditionIf anyone has suggestions that can be added, be sure to let me know.
Wizard Apprentice / Wizard Master
There are three groups of ingredients: Liquids, Gems, and Organics. Mix and match them as much as you please. Just note that you cannot create the same ingredient combination twice in a row, until you obtain the “Wizard Master” achievement. These combinations each create one of twelve unique spells. You will achieve “Wizard Apprentice,” after you unlock six of the twelve spells, and “Wizard Master,” after you unlock all twelve.
Catch this!
If you look to your right, you will see a suit of armor. Throw something at it, and it’ll throw it back. That’s it.
Aaaaaaahhhh!
Put something in the pot, that is NOT an ingredient. Then, look slightly right. If you offend a talking skull by doing this, grab the skull and toss it out of the window, for telling an almighty mage, such as yourself, what to do in your own damn tower!
Afraid of heights
If you look at the right side of your desk, you’ll see a few orbs. Grab the one on the left, and play the notes that appear above the orb, on your little xylophone, also to the right. Then, enter the portal that appears, wait a little bit, and then that’s it.
Aghh, a monster!
Do the same thing as last time, but pick up the orb in the middle.
Judgement
Now the rightmost orb… But, while you’re in this dimension, be sure to take notice of the artifact on the far left, as it will return later on.
“What artifact,” I hear you cry? Stare at a few things, and you’ll get them.
Ooh, a secret!
If you shoot the clock, on the wall, you’ll see some notes, on the walls. Just play those notes, enter the portal, and be sure to grab the hidden ring, in the wall.
Master of the Maze
By the suit of armor, you’ll see a fourth orb, that’ll take you to a “maze.” Pass through all three of the sections, killing orbs and knights as you go, and you’ll unlock the artifact, mentioned in “Judgement.” This maze can also be traveled to by placing your hand where the orb is.
In one section, there are a bunch of dart traps. Just duck under them, and keep moving forward. Then, climb the tower, and kill the guard. Then, place your hand on the hand icon.
In another, there is a spiked wall that chases you through a hallway. Just keep moving foreword, and DON’T STOP, and you’ll be fine. Then do the same thing as last time.
Lastly, there is a bridge puzzle. In front of you are five buttons. Hit them in this order: Far left, Far right, Center.
After doing all of this, return to the center, and bow to the orb. Then, reach in, and take the artifact.
Why did I drink that?
There are three potions, labled “Giant,” “Little,” and “Sight.” Giant is located under your desk, and will make you big. Little is located on the shelf to your left, and will make you small. Sight is on the other desk, ahead of you, and will make your vision go funny.
Sword Master
This can be done in one of two ways:
1. Pick up the sword, that is located near the xylophone, and play some fruit ninja with the gargoyle ahead of you.
2. Enlarge your sword, with a spell, hold the sword in front of the gargoyle, and wait.
Crossbow Master
Again, this can be done in two ways:
1. Hit the target, under the clock, with your crossbow, and hit the others, as they appear.
2. Using the artifact acquired earlier, slow down time to make the targets appear, and stay there, much slower.
Artifact Connoisseur / Artifact Seeker
There are several (what appear to be) clay sculptures around the room. Like the spell achievements, five artifacts will give you “Artifact Connoisseur,” and ten will give you “Artifact Seeker.” Listen to each of them, as they cry out in desperation, with the little brass earpiece, by the Xylophone.
UNLIMITED POWER!
Extend your arms, and lightning comes out, I guess. I honestly have no clue how to get this. I use a Quest 2, with a link cable, and have ZERO CLUE how to use hand tracking in WotW. Zap the skull 25 times, and that’s that.
