Even though I have discontinued updating this guide, I will still reply to any comments or queries.Hi all, here I have a guide showing you the easiest way to escape all the prisons in the game, as well as some of the DLC prisons!This guide is made assuming you know all the basics, such as what a contraband detector does, how to craft most common recipies, and also to stop breaking through walls when guards are in sight! How to know what key you are going to get:
I name the first five guards in the line up, before you start a game according to the keys they always carry, left to right: Yellow (Cell key) Orange (Utility key) Purple (Entrance key) Red (Staff key) and Green (Work key)
You will be needing this a lot so keep it in mind!

How to knock out a guard and get his key:
To knock a guard out out, craft a cup, chocolate and lighter to make a cup of molten chocolate. Alternately, get your strength and speed up relatively high, get a good weapon. Nunchuks (2 timber, wire) or a whip (timber, wire, razor blade) are the best. Also get some armour. The 3 types of armour are: inmate outfit+duct tape+pillow=cushioned inmate outfit (+1 defence). Inmate outfit+duct tape+book=padded inmate outfit (+2 DEF). Inmate outfit+duct tape+sheet of metal= plated inmate outfit(+3 DEF). Make a wad of putty by combining a tub of talcum powder and toothpaste. Now select your cup of chocolate, or get your weopon ready. Follow the Officer you want to K.O. around until he is indoors, so the snipers won’t shoot you! Make sure there are no other guards nearby as well. Once he is lying on the floor, grab his guard outfit (If you don’t have one) and key, but don’t run away yet!! Craft a key mold by using the guard’s key and a wad of putty, and you get a key mold!! GIVE THE GUARD HIS KEY BACK! If you don’t you will be sent to solitary when he wakes up. Craft the key mold with molten plastic (Comb + lighter) to make a plastic key copy! It only has 10 uses, so use it wisely. (For the rest of this guide we will call this the ‘Key Method’)
How to get a job
If you ever want or need a different job, this part is for you! First, go to the job board to find out who has the job you want. Just before work period, punch the guy who has the job. Make sure he chases you around during the whole work period, or completely K.O. him and take his clothes, so he has to walk back to his cell to get his clothes on again! Keep doing this until work period is over. Now the job you want should be vacant. Make sure you have enough intelligence for the job before you apply for it, too! Now you have a different job!

Preparation:
First of all, you will need a guard outfit. To get this, go into the laundry (It’s your default job) and click on the dirty laundry until you get a guard outfit. clean it, then put it on. walk through the contraband detector (with the guard uniform on) when no guards are looking, then take it off. This way you go past the contraband detector, as it doesn’t sense if you are wearing something illegal. Now you have a guard outfit! Grab your pillows and bedsheet, and craft them together to make a bed dummy. Grab your forks, and start chipping here: Make sure no guards are looking!!!!!
Leave the wall on 4% so that you can break it quickly when you are escaping. Now, gather your cutting tools. (plastic knifes, files, cutting floss or cutters)
The Escape:
Your inventory should now look like this: Guard outfit, 1 Plastic fork, bed dummy, and your cutting tool(s). Just before evening rollcall, put the bed dummy in your bed. The guards won’t know you ever left! Attend rollcall for a few seconds, then find somewhere to hide until midnight, when the sniper guards go home. Put your guard outfit on too! Once it’s midnight, chip through the wall that you have almost broken. Walk outside and PUT THE WALL BLOCK BACK! If you don’t do this, a guard will spot the hole in the wall and foil your escape! Now that you are out of the actual prison, start cutting through the outer fence here: (Or anywhere, really)
Once you have broken the fence, run to freeedom!!
You have now escaped center perks!!
Stalag Flucht

Preparation:
In this prison, we shall have to use the ‘key method’ for the first time. Use it on afficer Red. Get your cutting tool(s) ready too.
The Escape:
Just before evening rollcall, place the bed dummy in your bed. attend rollcall for a few seconds, and then hide here:
Also, put your guard outfit on! Now, wait until lights out and make sure no guards are looking, then run to the red door, then walk left into the generator room, and click on the generator to turn it off. (for an in-game hour) Now the electric outer fence is disabled, and you won’t get electrocuted when you cut the fence! Now go near the wall of the infirmary and cut through the fence to freedom!

Preparation:
Start chipping the wall behind your cell with the plastic forks, to get to the utility area and cover up the hole with a poster. Use the ‘Key Method’ on officer Orange. Take his outfit too. Gather all the other Items mentioned above. After rollcall, go into your cell as per usual.
The Escape:
Your inventory should look like this: Bed dummy, Sturdy shovel, Guard outfit, Timber brace, and Utility key (and the flimsy pickaxe if you have one). When no guards are looking, put your bed dummy on your bed, go through the hole in the wall, and wait until midnight. Put your guard outfit on, and go up the ladder to your right, use your key to get through the door, go up the next ladder and now you’re on the roof! Go here, and drop off the edge of the roof. Or, use a bed sheet rope and drop off anywhere along the edge.
Now, go all the way up to the guard tower in the corner, go to the Eastern wall (Right) where the outer wall is only one block thick, and start digging! Make sure no guards see you! Once you have finished the hole, get in it, select the dirt you just got and click on yourself. That way the hole you made should be covered up and the guards won’t suspect a thing!! Next, place your timber brace, and start digging east, (To the right) using the pickaxe if you happen to encounter any rocks. Keep digging until the game says you need more support for your tunnel, then start digging up. (You should know how to do this from the tutorial) once you have got out of the tunnel, run to freedom!!

Jungle Compound

Preparation:
First of all, you will notice a well placed contraband detector separating the cells and showers to the rest of the prison. This will be your main opponent in the whole prison!! To bypass this with contraband items in your inventory you will need some contraband pouches, mentioned above. Remember that they only have limited uses! Now that that’s sorted, start chipping the wall to your left in the library. This is a good time to get some intelligence, as there is a glitch that lets you chip the wall and read at the same time!! Once you have chipped through the wall, start chipping the wall on your left again, to get to the workshop, where you will have unlimited timber and metal! In the utility area between the library and workshop, start digging a tunnel. It will have to be 10-12 blocks long, towards your LEFT. use the workshop to get unlimited timber braces for your tunnel as well. (Also store your contraband, exotic feather, and jar of ink in the tunnel, and have a digging tool in the tunnel as well)

Once your tunnel is in place, knock out officer Yellow and Red and use the key method on them, and grab a guard outfit too.
The Escape:
On the night of your escape, put your our inventory should look like this: contraband pouch, guard outfit, cell key, staff key and bed dummy. Once it’s midnight, put the bed dummy in your bed, put your guard outfit on, and use your cell key to walk through all the doors on your way to the library. While you’re in the library, make sure your intelligence is at least 85! Otherwise you may not have enough intelligence to craft the ID papers, needed to escape. Get in the tunnel, pick up the exotic feather, shovel and jar of ink, and drop your cell key and contraband pouch. Once you hear a loud noise, which is the jeep patrolling outside, start digging up at the end of your tunnel. Place the dirt you recieved in the hole so the jeep doesn’t send you to solitary, and walk up north to the guard barracks, shown here in RED.
Grab the Unsigned ID Papers from the table inside, then craft it with the jar of ink and exotic feather. After that go all the way to the bottom of the map (shown in blue) and give the ID Papers to the guard in the checkpoint building, then run through the opened gates and you are FREE!!

Preparation:
It seems like the cops have caught up with you and put you in the desert this time, with a minefield surrounding the area! You will notice the guards only come inside the prison during meals, gym, rollcall and shower period. This can be useful sometimes! First of all you will want to chip through the tailor shop walls, shown here:
If you want you can get the tailor job, that way you don’t have to chip through the first wall. Next, use some more plastic forks (or any chipping tool) and chip through your cell to the shower block, then from the shower block to the hallway near the tailor job. Most inmates have a very low opinion of you, so they will shout for the guards if they see you doing this. Cover the holes with posters. Try doing it at night if possible! Also, so that your cell mates don’t shout for the guards when you leave the cell, give them heaps of comb shivs and other weapons so that their opinion of you is at least 60 (their opinion degrades vary fast!). Now, for some crafting! Craft two tool handles (file + timber). Make a shovel (tool handle, duct tape, sheet of metal) and a pickaxe (crowbar, tool handle, duct tape).
Start digging North (up) behind the tailor shop, upgrading your shovel (flimsy or lighweight Shovel, duct tape, sheet of metal) and pickaxe (Flimsy or lightweight Pickaxe, timber, duct tape) as you go. Once they are a sturdy shovel or sturdy pickaxe you can repair them using the same recipie. Keep on digging until you come to an electric fence, and this is where it gets interesting! Craft a pair of sturdy cutters, (File, duct tape and Lightweight cutters) a grapple, (2 crowbar + duct tape, then grapple head and rope) fake fence, (3 wire) and a guard outfit (Inmate outfit + bleach, then Infirmary overalls and jar of ink). Have the following in your inventory: Sturdy cutters, guard outfit, bed dummy, grapple, fake fence and bed sheet rope. Place your bed dummy, put your outfit on and, after midnight, go through the posters to get out of your cell, and go to the area behind the tailor’s shop. Go up the ladder, and keep going right, using bed rope and grapple to get to the generator. Cut through the fence and turn the generatior off. Replace the broken fence with a fake fence and run quickly to your tunnel! Start cutting the electric fence underground, and after you have broken it, go back to your cell and save. (Note! Mines will still explode if you are underground, not just above ground!)
Now, keep digging north in your tunnel until you meet a wall of reinforced concrete. This stuff is invincible!
The Escape:
Now, get all the things ready for your escape. Craft a multitool (Sturdy Pickaxe, duct tape and Sturdy shovel). Your inventory should look like this: Multitool, guard outfit, bed dummy and stinger strip. After rollcall go to your cell like normal. Then, after midnight, go through all the posters and the tunnel you dug, wait for a loud noise (the jeep) and dig up next to the reinforced concrete. Place the dirt you dug back in the tunnel. walk ONE space below you, and drop your stinger strip. This should disable the jeep. Now, don’t just walk around anywhere! There is a minefield, but you will be safe if you walk within one block of the wall, like this:
Go to the bottom of the map and start chipping here, the jeep should be disabled by the stinger strip you dropped earlier. Once you break through the wall, RUN!
Congratulations, you have escaped San Pancho!
HMP Irongate

This prison is really hard, but once you get all the items, its not super-duper hard to escape. Note that in this prison you are on an island, so you need a raft to escape. Also, all the guards have stun rods, which are insta-kill weapons, doing 50 damage with each hit! Because of this, the only way to knock out a guard is with molten chocolate. And this isn’t the normal method of escaping HMP Irongate either! It involves one more key, a contraband pouch, and nothing to do with the vents. (unless you want to store contraband)
Preparation:
First off, try to gather all your non-contraband items. When you have the items needed for 2 cups of molten chocolate, 2 wads of putty, and 2 molten plastic, go and knock out officer Red and officer Yellow. Make sure you put all contraband items in your inventory back in your desk, as each one of them will try to knock you out next time they see you. You won’t get any warning when they attack you though, as they have insta-kill stun rods!! Now that you have the keys, we will work on the raft. Gather teh balsa wood, timber, bed sheet and 2 rope. Craft the following: 2x Balsa wood + rope = Makeshift raft base. Timber + bed sheet = sail. Makeshift raft mase + sail = Makeshift raft! Next, craft a pair of flimsy cutters (using duct tape and 2 files). Upgrade to lighweight cutters [flimsy cutters+duct tape+file] or sturdy cutters [lightweight cutters+duct tape+file] if you want. Now, locate a roll of duct tape, 2 crowbars and a rope craft both crowbars with the duct tape to make a grapple head. Craft the grapple head with a rope and you will geta grapple!
The Escape:
Go to your cell like you usually would after evening rollcall. Wait until midnight (this takes AGES as HMP irongate has a very early bedtime!!) If you want cover the camera with toothpaste or shaving cream. Place your bed dummy, and put on the guard outfit. Make sure your inventory looks like this: Plastic yellow key, plastic red key, grappling hook, cutters,contraband pouch (At least 50%!!!) and your makeshift raft. Now, using your yellow keys, get to the rollcall area. (drop your yellow key for inventory space) Below you you should see a red door and contraband detector. Go through the door. Near the door, there should be a fence, with another red door.

Go through it, then head left until you see a warehouse sort of building with a ladder in it. Go inside, up the ladder, and across the roof-pipe to the left. You should be confronted with a fence. No problem; cut through with your cutters, and, once you’re through, grapple over the outer wall.
Now, walk along the coast, towards the right, until you find a jetty. Walk onto the jetty, and click on yoursef with the makeshift raft selected. Contratulations, you have now escaped HMP Irongate!!

First of all, I will show you where all the supplies are for making the tank, in the desks with a cross on them. (the tank is near rollcall area).
Corrugated metal, Metal tube, and metal cone:

Also, you don’t need your janitor job, as it’s just a waste of time and you only get $5 salary. Now that that’s sorted, lets get on with the tutorial.
Tank Turret:
First of all, gather 3 duct tape, and use the ‘key method’ on officer Red. Make 2 copies of his key if you are using plastic forks to chip through the wall for the potassium! You will also note that he has a taper and mixing bowl on him; don’t take them yet though! Grab his soldier outfit if you want. Now, get your inventory completely empty except for the red key. (Put everything in desk) Go to the desk mentioned above with the corrugated metal, metal tubes and metal cone. Grab 2 corrugated metal, 2 metal tubes and 1 metal cone. Now, go back to your desk and craft the following items: 2 corrugated metal + duct tape = tank firing base. 2 metal tubes + duct tape = tank barrel. Tank barrel + duct tape + tank firing base = Tank turret. Now you have part 1 of the three items needed to escape!
Tank shell: (I think that’s what it’s called!)
First of all, grab your plastic forks, or, if you’re lucky, a crowbar + 2 forks, and start chipping away at the completly enclosed potassium room INSIDE. (The reason I have 2 staff keys is because if you are using the plastic forks, you may not have enough time to chip through the walls at once, and if you miss rollcall you will be sent to solitary. You need the extra key to walk in and out again, as the first one will break!) You can walk over the small radio, but not the big ones on the table. Once you have your potassium, go to the guard barracks to get your charcoal. Next, use the ‘key method’ on officer Green. This time take his taper and mixing bowl! Use your green key to get into the gardening room with the fertilizer. Now craft the following: Potassium + fertilizer + charcoal = explosive mix. Explosive mix + mixing container = explosive compound. Explosive compound + metal cone = tank shell. Now you have the 2nd part needed for escape!
Fuse:
This one is really simple! Just craft the taper you got from officer Green with the lighter, and, voila! Makeshift fuse!
Escape
So grab your Makeshift tank turret, makeshift shell, and fuse. Go to the are near rollcall (doesn’t have to be night time!) then put the turret on the tank. Next the shell, and finally, the fuse. BOOM! now walk all the way to the right and you have escaped!!
Duct Tapes are Forever (DLC)
-Intelligence 80+
-At least 2 contraband pouches (foil + duct tape)

Preparation:
First of all, get rid of your janitor job, and get the metalshop job. (the blue putty is here also) You will also need somewhere to store your contraband. DON’T store them in any ‘?’ desks, as they reset overnight. You can choose between the vents above the metal shop (Hence the screwdriver and fake vent covers) or a tunnel under your desk (Digging tools and timber braces). Note the well-placed contraband detectors also, separating the prison into 3 sections. These are your biggest enemy! Make sure you have a few contraband pouches handy before gathering supplies. You will need 3 items to escape: Keycard, voice recording and fake fingerprint. To get these you will need to locate all the desks with a ‘?’ on them. Here are all of their locations:
Dirty glass:
Keycard (in the blue door) and tape player: (Red door)
Chip wall here for Sticky tape: (Futher up)
(blue putty is in the metalshop)
Fake Fingerprint:
First of all, grab the blue putty out of the ? desk in the metalshop and put it in your desk. Chip through the wall of the woodshop with your pickaxe, (shown above) and take the sticky tape out of the ? desk in there. Replace the hole with a poster. Now, use the ‘key method’ on Henchman orange. Take his outfit too, and, if he has a henchman memoir tape, take it as well. Now, go to your desk and sort out your inventory. It should look like this: Henchman outfit, contraband pouch, orange key copy, pickaxe, and poster. Keep the sticky tape, blue putty, and tub of talcum powder in your desk. Now, go to the area where the dirty glass was, mentioned above, and put on your henchman outfit. Go through the orange door to get there, and start chipping the wall also shown above, so that the camera doesn’t see you. Now grab the dirty glass, replace the hole with a poster, and run back to your desk! Craft the following: Dirty glass + sticky tape + talcum powder = weak fingerprint. Weak fingerprint + blue putty = fake fingerprint!
Voice recording:
Use the ‘key method’ on henchman Red. If you didn’t find a henchman memoir tape on Henchman Orange than you should find one here. If you don’t, keep knocking out henchmen until you find one! You should have the following in your inventory: Henchman outfit, contraband pouch, red key and henchman memoir tape. Put on the henchman outfit and go through the Red doors shown above. Search the room until you find a ? desk. Grab the tape player out of the desk, and craft it with the henchman memoir recording. Voila! Voice recording!
Keycard:
Now this one is easy! Sort out your inventory so it looks like this: Henchman outfit, contraband pouch, voice recording, fake fingerprint. Go to the blue doors. There are no keys for this, but don’t worry! Once you put on your henchman outfit you can walk through the doors. Search the area until you find a ? desk, and grab the keycard out of it.
The Escape:
Go to the rocket, (in the center of the map) and activate all the panels with the items you have acquired (It doesn’t have to be night time). Congratulations! You have escaped Duct Tapes are Forever!
Santa’s Sweatshop (DLC)

Preparation:
In this prison, it’s rather hard to get intelligence, as the only computer is in a GE (guard elf) only area.
What I reccomend doing is freeing your inventory of contraband items, and when no GEs are around, walk in and spam the internet! If a GE sees you, your heat will go to 99% and you’re as good as dead. Your heat will go to 99%, even if you have a GE outfit on! Also, if you get on the desk next to the computer, sometimes, when a GE sees you, he will glitch. It doesn’t always work, but it is a useful tip. (Thanks Bunder McThundersticks!) Now, here are some pictures showing you where all of the items are that you need to escape, in the Christmas tree desks.

This is an easy one! Locate some toilet paper and super glue. Use the ‘key method’ on officer red. You can also use crackers instead of molten chocolate! Go to the C’mas tree desk through the red door in the gym. Take the glitter out of the desk, and craft it with the toilet paper and super glue. You now have part 1/4 to escape!
Fairy lights:
This one is quite a bit harder! Start chipping at the wall behind your cell, like this:
Replace the hole with a poster. Now, use the ‘Key method’ on officer yellow. Take his outfit too! Locate some sturdy cutters, a bed dummy, fake fence, wire and a battery. After evening rollcall, go to your cell as per usual. Get the following in your inventory: Plastic yellow key, plastic red key, sturdy cutters, fake fence, bed dummy and GE outfit. Wait until midnight. Place your bed dummy. Next, go through the hole in your cell wall, and disable the generator. Now run to the elcetric fence (now disabled) where the bulbs are located. Cut through the fence, grab the bulbs, replace the hole with a fake fence, and sprint back to your cell!! Craft the bulbs with the battery and wire, and now you have fairy lights!
Presents:
Get the woodshop job. Grab a random toy from this job and hide it somewhere. Put your GE outfit on to walk through the blue doors needed to get to the wrapping paper. (It doesn’t have to be night time to do this) Get your inventory to look like this: Yellow key, bed dummy, guard outfit, and a few crackers if you want. Go to your cell after evening rollcall, and wait until midnight. Put your guard outfit on (needed to get through the blue doors) and go to the restricted building near the top. Walk through some doors towards the top right corner of the building, and take the sticky tape out of the C’mas tree desk. Go back to your cell, and craft the random toy, wrapping paper and sticky tape together to make presents!
Candy cane lever:
This is really easy!! Just grab your red key, and go to the generator room. Take the lever out of the C’mas tree desk.
The escape:
Grab your tinsel, fairy lights, presents, candy cane lever, and a few crackers if you want. Go to the Christmas tree in the restricted area (during daytime) and put the items on the tree in this order: Tinsel, fairy lights, presents, candy cane lever. Preparation:
First of all, you will want to start chipping the wall with the plastic forks right here, and also chip where my mouse is:
Once the walls are down to 4%, put a 100% fork in your desk. Next, gather all the other items (except guard outfit) and put them in your desk, like this:
Craft a contraband pouch too. Now, you will have to get $250! This is probably the hardest part. Get the money by doing lots of favours and also get the woodshop job! Once you have the money, craft the following from the items in your desk: Cup of molten chocolate (Bar of chocolate, lighter, cup) Wad of putty (tub of talcum powder, tube of toothpaste) molten plastic (comb, lighter) and a bed dummy (2 pillows, bed sheet). Find officer Purple and use the ‘key method’ on him. Take his uniform too!
The Escape:
Just before evening rollcall, place the bed dummy in your bed. Your inventory should look like this: Plastic fork, Purple (entrance) key, contraband pouch, guard outfit, and also have $250 on hand! Find a place to hide, but don’t go through any doors!! You may get locked in if you do! Wait until midnight. Now, go to the wall that you weakened, chip through it with the plastic fork and replace the wall block. After that, go to the right-hand side of the island, and go to the jetty, where, if you have $250, Captain Birdseye should help you escape!
Fhurst Peak Correctional Facility (DLC)
During your time on the prision, get rid of the vent above your cell (always cover the hole with a fake vent), head left and cut all the metal slats you encounter (with plastic knifes, files or cutters), once you canĀ“t move forward, head up and continue untill you reach to another vent above the job board, cut it, and replace it with a fake vent if you want.
On your escape night, put the bed dummy into your bed, or cover the bars of your cell with bed sheets, you will need a Multitool (to save inventory space), staff key (red), timber brace, guard outfit and a length of rope or duct tape (optional).
Get in the vent and go to the job board, put the guard outfit on and get down, cover the hole with the fake vent. Head out using the staff key and go left, when you reach the walls go down and finally head right. On the middle of the south part of the prision, the concrete walls will be interrupted with fences, use your multitool to dig under the fences, cover the hole with the dirt, put the timber brace when you go down and make a tunnel to the other side of the fences, get up, cover the hole and walk away.
Note: There is a guard patrolling the perimeter zone, if you find him when you get to the fences, let him pass or knock him out and tie him up with the duct tape or the lenght of rope to win time.

Get yourself a Red key and a yellow key, using the ‘key method’ as always. When you have this and all the other items, wait till evening rollcall, and put your bed dummy in wait in your cell until lights out. Once it is lights out, put on your guard outfit and walk towards the restricted area. Make your way into the generator room, and turn off the generator.

Notes:
In the library you can make use of the glitch that lets you get intellegence 2x faster, by browsing and reading at the same time.
It is very hard to hide contraband anywhere, as the guards search the prison very thoroughly!! Be careful what you do with your contraband.
To start you need to gather your resources and get the Red and Purple Keys, as well as a uniform. Then you need a way to get out of your cell at night, so break two walls in your cell and your neighbors cell, and replace them with posters for an easy get away. Image below.
The Escape
Wait untill Evening Roll Call, and after the Guards mention the winners of the cell shakedowns, go down to your cell and place your bed dummy. Get your inventory ready with your food, the timber brace, multitool, contraband pouch, and your two keys. At Lights Out, go through your posters and head over to the outside of the prison (taking the exit near the Gym) and turn right twice. Choose a spot in between the boxes and start digging. [/previewimg]Once it prompts you to place the timber brace, do so and dig your way up and out of the High Walls. You just escaped Fort Bamford.
