Overview
This guide goes through the basic controls and keys to work FortressCraft 🙂
WASD / Arrow Keys – Moving
Pressing WASD or the Arrow Keys allow you to move along the X and Z axis.
Q / Space bar – Moving
Pressing Space Bar will make you go up.
Pressing Q will make you go down.
Shift – Moving
Holding the Shift key will allow you to fly faster.
CTRL + Left/Right Click – Building
Pressing CONTROL + Left Click will preform Build2Me. This will build the selected block up to you from the block you are looking at.
Holding CONTROL + Right Click will enable fast destroy while you are holding ctrl.
= – hot bar / block filter
Pressing the = key will bring up the hot bar selection and block selection filter (Used for detail blocks).
P – Main Menu
Press P will bring up the main menu.
- Choose World – which will allow you to return to the world menu and choose a different world.
- Settings – Allows you to change your settings.
- Quit – quits to desktop.
H – Help Menu
Pressing the H key will bring up the help menu. To close the menu, press H again.
X – Build Gun
Pressing the X key will switch your tool to the build gun. Use the scroll wheel to switch between blocks.
C – Storm Staff
Pressing the C key will bring up the Storm Staff. Use the scroll wheel to switch between different powers.
- Speed time up
- Change weather
- Summon meteors
N – Paint Gun
Pressing the N key will bring up the paint gun. The paint gun allows you to change while canvas or any block that is marked “paintable” to a wide range of colors. (I think it’s 256).
To change the color, right click the mouse. To change the color of the canvas, left click.
The paint gun will remember the last 5 colors added.

B – No Weapon
Pressing the B key changes your held item to nothing. This is most helpful for taking screenshots.
J – Stats
Pressing J will bring up your statistics.
M – To workshop
Pressing the M key will shoot out rainbow lights, which lead to all current workshops in the world.
F1-F7
Pressing F1-F7 will select the tab on the quick bar. Pressing 0-9 will select the block on the tab on the quick bar.
F8 / F11 – Super build / Copy and Paste
Pressing F8 will bring up the menu to use Super Build.
Pressing F11 will bring up the menu to use Copy and Paste (c+p).
~ (tilde) – console
Pressing the ~ key, called a tilde, will bring up console. To list commands to use in console, enter “help”. To bring up the debug screen (The green bars on the left), enter “debug”. To remove the screen, type “debug” back into the console.
Please do not use console unless you know what you are doing.
