Overview
Each game has his endgame, in Gunslingers getting your mercenary to generation 10 (X) level 10 could be it
What is generation?
Generation is a skill that you can buy when you reach level 10, once bought you can increase the generation of your mercenary by one. When you hit the generation button a big warning sign will appear; your skills and stats will be reset as they were in level 1 and you will lose 5% of your Learning skill, but you will gain a +1 extra stat point to use as you please.
The first thing to take notice is that you lose 5% of learning*, learning affects the amount of EXP (experience) you win after each battle. The positive is you win a +1 extra stat point to use as you want with each new generation. Since the highest generation is 10, this means you will have +9 extra stat points to use once you reach generation 10. In game effects it’s a huge impact.
Something important to know is that you join battles taking in consideration the next variables: your generation + your level + 1. So once your generation is high enough you will be joining battles of level 10 players and you are only level 1.
Tips for leveling quick in generation
Warning: the road to generation X is stressing.
- The main idea is to hit the generation skill/button as soon you reach level 10.
- All extra +1 generation stats you get with each generation put them into intellect. Since every intellect stat you mercenary gets is a +5% Learning skill, this way you compensate the 5% Learning loss of each generation.
- In the first levels focus only in increasing intellect, that way you will increase more the Learning skill. You you can do this until you reach intellect 30, or at level 4 or 5 you can start balancing your stats to make your mercenary more competitive in the battlefield.
- Another more mainstream option, is to first max the main stat of the mercenary you are leveling, and then start putting points into intellect. This way leveling will not be so painfull, but slower.
- You need to start saving Wulongs for the generation skill since level 1. The cost of the generation skill varies from generation to generation:
- gen II: 50.000 Wulongs
- gen III: 75.000 Wulongs
- gen IV: 100.000 Wulongs
- gen V: 150.000 Wulongs
- gen VI: 200.000 Wulongs
- gen VII: 250.000 Wulongs
- gen VIII: 300.000 Wulongs
- gen IX: 375.000 Wulongs
- gen X: 500.000 Wulongs
- The EXP needed for the generation skill is 49.980 EXP points. If you start saving EXP a little before of the ending of level 8, you will reach level 10 with enough EXP points.
- A fast way to level up from level 1 to level 2 is to play the Mission. Since the Mission turns boring after a couple of times I don’t recommend to play it more than that.
- To make leveling easier it is a good alternative to avoid random battles and hit the faction map at level 2 until you reach level 6. Since you will need Wulongs for the generation skill, random battles are needed
- Once you reach generation 10 you don’t need to put all the extra generation stat points into intellect, remember it is the last generation and changing the stats costs 30 Gold. So build your mercenary as you want from level 1 and enjoy a slow leveling to level 10.
- Buy at least four implants with +1 intellect, they help a lot and only cost 36394 Wulongs; and of-course use them while you are playing.
- If you want to level as quickly as possible it is ideal to have a premium account, or taking advantage of the free premium day.
Example, Stats and Implants
This is a screenshot of a level 9 generation VII John.
In this case intellect was maxed and only intellect implants were used. The Learning skill is at 195%, getting 95% more of EXP with each battle, on a premium day the EXP boost is huge.
The following implants were used:
- 2 C-type Delta (orange -80 NS, +1 intellect +5% Learning. cost around 163 gold)
- 1 D-type Delta (green -35 NS, +1 intellect. costs around 36384 Wulongs)
Take in mind that the C-type Delta (+1 intellect +5% Learning) replaced old modules. I wouldn’t recommend to buy them since once you reach level generation X level 10 you have no futher use for them.
The D-type Delta implants cost Wulongs, so buying four of them is a good investment.
Since all orange implants cost 163 gold I recommend the B-type Delta (-95 NS, +2 intellect) implant.
