How to make the Sims Medieval Work on Windows 8+8.1

Overview

Are you tired of the Sims Medieval not working? Do you want to play the best Sims Spinoff game, but it just won’t work? Today I’ll help you with this! Here is how is (usually) make The Sims Medieval work on Windows 8+8.1!

Introduction

Out of all The Sims Spinoff games I have ever played, The Sims Medieval is the best. It’s a mix of RPG with some of the Sims elements in it. However, when I got it, it didn’t work. So, it took me some time, but I figured out how to fix this. From the creator of the 5-Star “How to fix Fallout 3 to work on Windows 8+8.1, here comes how to fix the Sims Medieval on Windows 8+8.1!

Requirements

Now, to make the Sims Medieval work, there are some things you need
– The Sims Medieval on Steam
– Origin
– A Sims 3 account (You don’t need the Sims 3, but you need to at least make an account, which will be the same as your Origin Account)
– Hardware that will run the game (It’s easier to run than The Sims 3 because of its restricted gameplay, but still make sure, especially if you are playing on an old piece of hardware from the 2000s)

That is all you need to do this. Also, don’t complain that you’re not using Steam because if you want to play the game, you will have to deal with this.

Section 1: Getting it on Origin

First, I will say how you can get it to go onto Origin.

1. Buy The SIms Medieval on Steam is you haven’t already, but don’t download it
2. (If you haven’t already) Download Origin from [link] If you don’t trust me, just search “Origin EA” and you should find the same link.
3. Make an Origin Account (If you haven’t already)
4. Go to this link [link] If you don’t trust me, just search “The Sims 3” and you should find the same link.
5. Sign in (Or enter your email account in Sign Up that you used for Origin)
6. Move your cursor over to My Page (Don’t click on it!)
7. Move your cursor over to My Account (Don’t click it!)
8. Move your cursor over to Register A Game and Click on it
9. Go back to Steam and click on The Sims Medieval
10. Find your CD key (It is to the right near where you see discussions)
11. Directly type in your CD key into the box (You can’t copy and paste, you have to manually type it)
12. Press Register and You SHOULD (Notice how I said should. There are sometime where it will say it’s invalid, where you might have to retype it. There have been times where the CD key will have already been used by somebody because Steam sometimes gives out the same CD key to people! If so, refund the game. At this point, i don’t know what to do other than Apologize) get a confirmation that “The Sims 3” (It’s not really The Sims 3, but for some reason it just says it)

You are now done with getting it on Origin. The next section will discuss how to make it work.

Section 2: Playing the Game

This is the final section where I will discuss how to make The Sims Medieval work and then be prepared to play it for many hours, with tons of replay value, like how I did.

1. Open up Origin
2. Click on My Game
3. Check to see if The Sims Medieval is there (It should be, if not, then you did something wrong)
4. Click on The Sims Medieval
5. Click Download
6. Wait for The Sims Medieval to finish its download
7. Right click the game
8. Click Repair Game
9. Wait for it to finish (It took me only a few minutes, so it doesn’t take that long)
10. Click on The Sims Medieval
11. Click Play

It now should work and you can play it perfectly fine!

Conclusion

It may of took a while, but you now can play it! All in all, I think it is worth its asking price of $9.99 because of how fun it is. It’s around 5 hours long, however, it has different endings and that was because I was rushing to finish it. If you enjoyed this guide, please give it a like, favorite it, and share it with your other friends so they don’t end up being confused like how I was at first. I hope you have some fun and have a good day!
