This is qick guide to help open the expansion via the Steam Library :I stumble to the shortcut to open the difent verion of the complete collection was, {shift}+{click} This will prompt you with a selection window to select the vesion of the game you want to launch
Launch any expansion from the Steam Library
On steam to launch the newer expansion an avoiding making desktop shortcuts , just simply
do an (shift)+(click) on the Start button off the steam Library an slect the exe to launch , yeah!.. that easy.
