I continued the guide to expand as I wanted to share my findings as I played as well.This guide is goal is to make newcomers feel fully prepared for everything & the layout of the guide is to be fun, not congested & USER-FRIENDLY. Beginner’s Guide! 1st 28 Days of the Game

What to do & how to get a good solid start.[/color]

By order of priority

• 1# Each day try to use up your energy until you are low as 6-20 energy

• 2# You can stay up until 1:50AM:

if you sleep after 12, you will replenish ~ 80% energy.
if you sleep after 1, you will replenish ~ 20/30% energy.
if you sleep after 2… wait, R.I.P.

• 3# Gifts quality, i.e. a gold sunflower is no better than a normal sunflower, does not affect the level of points when gifting. Collect the gold quality or simply do whatever your heart desires.

-I recommend Cauliflower(plant in 3×3 for a surprise,sometimes) & strawberry(regrows in 4days) & parsnip(gifts). Try sell 15 of each type of crop & collect 1 or 5 golden quality of each(5 golden parsnip), this will help in the late game achievements.

• Buy at least 5 or more strawberry seeds (100g each) on the day of the easter egg festival.
• Plant cauliflowers in a 3×3 format for a surprise (if you are lucky).
  Later… do the same with Melon & Pumpkins.

• On the last day of Spring, your harvest-able crops will not wither, but if you leave it too long unharvested the tile can get destroyed by a rock/log/weed spawn.
• Sell all the WEED while cleaning your farm, then start collecting them around end of summer year 1, as they are useful for construction and great items! Don’t cut all the grass until you build a Silo from Robin.
• Keep all your WOOD (building) & STONES (building) & SAP (crafting).
• Make FIELD SNACKS for energy with the tree seeds you loot. OAK, MAPLE & PINE seeds are pretty useless items.Or simply eat all the foraged goods,definitely keep the spring onions & salmonberries.
• If the seed pack says 8 days to grow, it means it will be 9 days until you can harvest; Crop to grow does not factor in the day the seed is planted.
• Collecting crops FAST, select a tool & hold down RIGHT click & run over all your loot. You can do this with fertilizers & other items in the game.
• You can Water your crops fastest by planting your crops in a 3×3 layout & then stand in the middle then hold LEFT click and spin 360 degrees to effectively water everything.
• Walking over your crops doesn’t damage your crops. Only crows can destroy your crops, so remember to place a scarecrow![/color]
  
  Helpful Tips to know early in the game:
  1. Go fish when it rains, go mining or woodcutting on sunny days.
     Bubbles in the water means the catch timer is reduced(shown by blue stars).
     

  2. You add bait to your rod once you buy a better one from Willy, press esc then DRAG the BAIT onto the ROD. Same with tackle; on the iridium rod.The further you throw your line,the better the catch.
  3. In the MINES, you can use an elevator every 5th floor.
  4. If your bag is full & want to drop an item without trashing, simply drag the item out to the floor.
  5. Press Shift while collecting or moving a bundle of items to HALVE it.Hold shift to buy or make items in bundles of 5.
  6. If you make mistake on profession for your skills, you can simply change it by going into your %appdata% saved data files and fix it. Try checking the corresponding numbers in reddit.

  7. If you want to kind of cheat: if you made a mistake or want to redo egg festival to beat Abigail, you can exit to game & try the day again, as long as you don’t sleep you do not save.
  8. If you want, try rush a Horse stable. Save you tones of time for the entire game.(10000g/100Hardwood/5iron bars)
  9. Use your hoe on worms around the town.
  10. You can date the same sex, so explore… I’ll let this part to be individually explored.
  11. If you look at the calender & TV everyday (as a habit IN THE GAME), I recommend not giving 2 gifts to the villager who has a birthday that week. Gifts limit resets on SUNDAYS. Giving a LOVED gift on their birthday immensely increases HEARTS.
  12. You can search town trash bins, if you want, there are 7 trash-bins in town, but make sure a NPC can’t see you rummaging through the bins.
  13. Shipping box & selling to NPCs, equals the same for ACHIEVEMENTS.
  14. Don’t go to Joja mart. It’s over-priced.
  15. You do not need to feed your pet by filling its bowl with water. It’ll always love you by blocking your path to your bed. Owning you at 2:00AM
  16. Go into options and tick the box “Always Show Tool Hit Location” & “Zoom Buttons”
  17. You can change the villager’s portraits if you think they look unattractive by using mods created by creative users. Likewise you can change your dog, cat & horse to even into a Chocobo!

  18. When you get your first sword, you can put your scythe away & use your sword to clean out weeds & grass. Though scythe is still needed to harvest certain crops & get hay from grass.

Lewis Pants & Linus Basket & Robin Axe

To the right of the sewers by the cliffs in the forest.

Get Marnie friendship to 2+ hearts. Then enter her room for the pants. ( >.-)/* corny haha

Stand in front of the bus then keep walk west/left towards the next location. WalAH! Bet you didn’t know that did ya?! The basket should be near the tunnel by bushes.

Goals Year 1, Summer, Fall, Winter

1. Upgrade axe/watering can/pickaxe to copper or iron (Tool upgrades takes 2 days).
2. Go check your sexy body at the spa north of North-west of Linus’s tent.
3. Get fruit seeds for Fall(apple/Pomegranate) as the seeds take 28 days to mature.
4. Make a lightning rod as summer has relatively a lot of storms which is great. But if you don’t make 1,when you get hit by lightning,everything in a 3×3 radius will get destroyed. Chidori OP.
5. Upgrade bag to the final.
6. Save the melons to use on preserved jars. Collect a large stash of hops for Pale ale with kegs.
7. Plant around 27+ Blueberry seeds for your big income boost. Plant corns that lasts till Winter.
8. Build a coop, 2 chickens should be enough.
9. Try upgrading axe to iron to enter secret forest for hardwood & season specific fiddlehead fern.
10. Reach level 40 in the mines.
11. Get 5 golden quality Melons & 5 corn for community bundle.
12. Catch season specific fishes (check the specific collection list respective to season).

1. Upgrade axe/watering can/pickaxe to iron.
2. Plant Rare seeds you purchase from Travel cart girl (Fri/Sun).
3. Build a barn, 1 or 2 cows & 1 sheep should suffice.
4. Build another silo if your animals exceed 8.
5. Build a horse stable.
6. Upgrade barn or coop to level 1 depending on your preference. In my opinion, getting the duck feather takes longer than the goats milk. Plus, the rabbit’s foot is considerable rare like 10% drop, so I would try to emphasize rushing the bunnies.
7. Buy 1 Heater for each animal building, so they don’t get mad cold.
8. Upgrade house to level 1, can do it in spring or summer; Not very useful early on,unless you like cooking.
9. Keep the stash of cranberries for preserved Jar.
10. Forage a large stash of blackberries from bushes to use in the mines.
11. Collecting plums for plum pudding for Jas. Collecting Sunflowers for Haley
12. Get 5 golden quality pumpkins for community bundle.
13. Catch season specific fishes (check the specific collection list respective to season).

1. Complete goals that was not achieved in earlier seasons.
2. Upgrade axe/watering can/pickaxe to gold.
3. Dress up as Santa & go stalk/hunt everyone with respective gifts.(You can buy a Santa hat from the mouse & change your clothe to red by getting into the Wizard’s basement).
4. Make sure you look at the calendar & give only 1 present prior to NPC’s birthday (Resets on Sundays).
5. Make sure your future partner is proposed to by this Winter or by Summer Year 2. Getting the kids to grow takes FOREVER.
6. Hopefully you have a partner 2 Hearts+ to not be forever alone in the upcoming Spring’s Flower Festival.
7. Do a lot of errands that is posted in front of Pierre’s shop for more Hearts + $.
8. Offer the ugly dwarf statue in the secret forest a Sweet gem berry you’ve watered all Fall.
9. Catch season specific fishes (check the specific collection list respective to season).

You will know if the character loves a gift if a HEART appears above them in a speech bubble when you give it to them.

You can also increase Heart by doing quests for the NPC
You can LOSE hearts to SINGLE NPCs by not talking to them for 1 week. (correct me if incorrect) Some of my NPC has dropped Hearts after I slept the whole winter away. Xd

5. You can still have 8 & 10 Heart Scenes with all other NPCs. I went & bathed with Penny after I married Abigail :3
6. You can do Festival events with other NPCs, despite married.

• Robin’s store, buy a blueprint then re-open shop to refresh
• Robin’s relationship to craft music boards
• Dwarf sells blueprints
• Krobus sells blueprints
• Festival blueprints: 1 on Spirit’s Eve(FALL) & 1 on Flower Dance(SPRING)

• Look at my season specific tab & make a chest for each season. Ship/sell 15 of each, this even includes the void egg. So you might not need to rush this as you might not even get the witch to appear till year 4.

• Some seeds are from year 2, oasis desert (bus), festivals, & travel cart.

• Ancient Fruit- From travel cart or seed maker, grows in SPRING, SUMMER, FALL. 28days to grow. Whenever you get Ancient fruit & gem berry fruit harvested, use it on seed maker to duplicate the number or these rare seeds till you get 15 shipped.
• Tough items to obtain:
  1. Void Egg, get lucky that the witch visits. Wait.
  2. Iridium ore, Meteorite, Quarry, Skull Cavern, Omni Geodes, Magma Geodes, Fishing Chests. Skull dungeon is loaded with iridium, don’t worry.
  3. Rabbit’s foot, get a rabbit & get it to around 3+ hearts & pray. Wait
     OR get it from Serpents from the skull caverns
  4. Truffle,get a pig & get it to around 3+ hearts & pray. Wait
  5. Fiddlefern, in the secret forest northwest of the wizard’s tower. Use a steel AX.

• Mine the huge boulders for lots of stones
• Bring a stack of berries of 1 or 2 source of ENERGY/Cooked food/Artisans like cheese.
• Bombard the quarry. It’s fun + New ores spawn if it’s cleared.(Gems tend to disappear though)
• 120 is max in Town mines, & I’ve tested with 450 mega bombs on the floor 120 & there is no secret room. Just death if you do this.
• Use the elevator, rush floors for 5th levels.
• Mine level 40-60 is great for coal.

• Bring bombs for mummies
• Bring teleport back totems any of the three home//beach/mountains if Stuck & cannot find exit
• To get to mine levels to 30+ without mods, try bring 100 mega bombs or any other sort of bombs & keep finding the holes that can drop you up to 15 levels or more?!
• Make stairs to get out of the levels you want to leave early.
• You can find iridium a lot more regular every 10 levels & they start spawning from floor 30, in my play-through.

1. Build a barn, 1 or 2 cows + 1 or 2 goats + 1 sheep + 1 or 2 pigs should suffice throughout the entire game.
2. Cows & goats can pregnant each other. For eg, I had 1 cow & 1 goat, the goat got pregnant (!;/ – o-)/
3. Build another silo if your animals exceed 8.
4. Build a horse stable.
5. Upgrade barn or coop to level 1 depending on your preference. In my opinion, getting the duck feather takes longer than the goats milk. Plus, the rabbit’s foot is considerable rare like 10% drop, so I would try to emphasize rushing the bunnies.
6. If upgraded the coop to level 1, incubate eggs.
7. Buy 1 Heater for each animal building, so they don’t get mad cold.

1. Complete goals that was not achieved in earlier seasons or simply complete them in year 2. The animals to be honest do not need to be rushed.
2. Do further upgrades depending on preferred play-style.
3. Late-game, remember you can use your barns or coops as extra storage space.

DCtrain’s Tips + Farm Layout Ideas

Go throught the bus tunnel until you reach the battery box. You can buy a statue that drops loot everyday for 1 million gold (which looks exactly the same as statue of perfection but brownish gold)

Train: Passes by and drops coal, geodes & other minor things. In my opinion its not worth waiting for. It’s kind of is a random event. You will have approximately 1hour or 2 to get to the train station for the drops or you’ll get nothing.

• You can get the glitter streams in any waterfront, including your farm’s ponds.

She can help with getting some items for the community bundle.

• Late-game, agriculturist is more effective as the speed growth is stacked; speed fertilisers & this skill are added together to grow a crop faster but does not affect the re-growth period. This helps with achievements further into the game.
• Mid-game, artisan is great in having the boost of income.

7. You can sling shot stones at NPCs.
8. If you play a male, your mother writes you letters. If you play a female, your father writes you letters.
9. Rarely you will see a sea Monster at the beach in the map.
10. Uncommonly you will encounter slimes with a star on their head that means they will drop something good (weapon).

The answer is no. There is no consistent level range in the town mines. They spawn from floor 1. The common place I found them is in any floor level in skull cavern. Reach the bottom of the town mines to get access to the skull cavern in the desert

1.You can change the game files.
2. You can add a mod
3.Melon,poppy,emerlad x2 a week.
4.At 8 Hearts skip the event with bouquet flower
5.If already married, get Penny to 8 Hearts then on her week of her birthday,talk to her all week +1 loved gift then give her loved gift on her birthday.- if this did not work, that means you didn’t accumulate enough points for the level. Might not even go to 9 Hearts.

those are nice figures, however throughout most of the game I would recommend using the keg for pale ale as there you would have a stash of hop & it only takes 1 day. Fruits/veg in keg takes far too long of 7days. +by the time you have ancient fruit you want to duplicate their seeds, not sell them, you want to fill your greenhouse with them.

In my experience, yes, you will miss out on the scene. Eg. If you propose with a bouquet at 8H without visiting the 8H cutscene, you won’t see it. BUT, I have not tried to decrease the Hearts before. Try getting a slingshot or a bomb, it might solve your problem 🙂

Well some choices I have pointed out like penny in the bath house and saying you like her. I haven’t mentioned everything like when alex asks you for dinner, you need to say yes. Most of the answers from the cutscene you shouldn’t get punished so hard even if you choose the last “?” option which is often bad. But to your answer, no. You can say the worst possible answer on the 2H one & still be ok.
