Creating the Lobby
Tools Required:
Party Size Evolved (ALL PLAYERS REQUIRE THIS).
Step #1
Subscribe to the Party Size Evolved Mod and enable it from the Main Menu > Mods (Ensure ALL players download and enable this).
NOTE: When you launch the game It’ll complain about a mod and it not working in multiplayer, YOU CAN IGNORE THIS!
Step #2
Either create a Multiplayer Lobby as usual and start your campaign or load an existing (Your 5th+ player(s) will be able to join later on).
Step #3
After you reach the Beach you’ll be able to recruit any recruitable companion beyond the limit of 4. You’ll want to recruit enough companions until your party is the size of how many people are playing (Eg. if I want to play with 5 people I’ll recruit an extra 1 companion (4 Current players + 1 companion = party size of 5).
NOTE: THE COMPANION YOU RECRUIT WILL BECOME THE 5th+ PLAYER(S) CHARACTER. BE SURE YOU RECRUIT THEM AS THE CLASS THAT THE PERSON WISHES TO PLAY.
Step #4
Invite the extra players through Steam and they should join and be assigned as one of the companions (The Host can decide who they play as through the Party Management option in the Menu).
Party Management showing 5 Players in a single game:
Known Issues
– When loading a save that includes 5+ players the game might not assign people to their correct characters. To solve this the Host will need to manually assign 4 people their correct characters and the 5th+ will need to have ONLY their character unchained while the join, one at a time.
– The Party Management screens UI can be quite buggy. Often Profile pictures wont display and the 5th+ character(s) wont be visable
– Any issues related to the Party Size Evolved Mod
