Game Master mode : list of quality of life mods

Overview

This is a list of all interesting mods to use in Game Master mode, mainly concerning Quality of Life mods to make the GM job better.

Introduction

Looking for life changing mods for Game Masters ? This guide is for you. Please always read the mod description before installing it. You can’t imagine how bothersome it is as a modder to have questions that are already answered in the description.
This guide does not include class mods or maps. They can be easily found on the workshop.

Prerequisites

LaughingLeader’s mod manager

The mod manager makes the job way easier when it concerns mods. It allow to change the load order way more easily compared to the in-game menu, save and load orders, install the script extender, …
It is also very important to grab it for one reason : Steam is very unreliable when you download mods because once downloaded, most of the times they are not copied to the game mods folder with the consequence that you won’t see them in-game. When you are about to play the game, check the mod manager to see if there is any pending update on the top. Dont forget to set the options correctly for the mod manager to work.

Norbyte’s Script Extender

Before talking about mods, it is worth mentioning Norbyte’s script extender. It is a open source file you drop into the bin folder of the game providing better loading times, re-enabling achievements on modded saves and, most importantly, gives modders more than 10 times more possibilities than the engine can provide.
See Odinblade’s guide to install it.
