Overview
Here’s how you play with mods with the latest version from steam (it works with any version)

You can find all the mods here:

Certain mods, like DarthMod, are not modfoldered and I still didn’t figure it out how to make them work with this latest patch (they were made for the Vanilla version of the game)
These mod may not be compatible

Intro and Method 1
- Go into your M2 folder and create a shortcut of your Medieval2.exe

- Now right click your shortcut and add
–features.mod=mods/MODNAME
At the end of the target section AFTER the “

- You can find your MODNAME inside the mods folder
Let’s take for example EBII

Click on OK
- Double click on your newly created shortcut and enjoy

- Repeat it with all the mods that you have, rename the shortcut if you like

Method 2
Paste the command line in the set launch option
then launch Medieval 2 (do not select any expansion, just double click on it)
IT DOESN’T WORK!
If you installed the mod before the steam patch, then you need to reinstall the whole mod again.
Remember to backup your savegames.
Windows 8/8.1 users ONLY (maybe 10 too)
If you’re using windows 8 you (may) need to set the compatibility mode to Windows 7
Note for installer based mods (like Third Age)
Some mods are packed with an installer, make sure that you’re redirecting the installer to the correct location and not the mod folder
