The Official A Large Journey “Hub”

Overview

Hi! I’m JustAGamerPerson, creator of A Large Journey. And this is the hub!

Introduction

What Is A Large Journey?

A Large Journey is a challenging story driven unit-possession campaign that I created!

How did it end up being created?

After creating a few story driven campaigns (namely The God Hunters), I wanted to make another one. I asked the good people of the TABS forums what unit could be the best for a unit possession campaign. One person gave me a number of answers, of both good and not good units for this project. Giants were no good, of course. Monkey King was a recommendation, along with a Fencer (both which I ended up using). This was one half.

The other half was a campaign, the entire inspiration of this campaign. It is named A Brawlers Journey! This is still one of my PERSONAL favourite campaigns of all time. Some of the campaigns story ended up creating certain scenarios that you know today!

With all this, I intended to make the campaign around the Fencer. But it became the giant it is today through my expansive mind!

Now, to the outside TABS stuff!

Who am I?

I am JustAGamerPerson. Lover of Comedy and TØP. The Guy Who Created A Large Journey. All of this.

I am also a YouTuber!
I even have a channel… whatever you see when you go into my channel page thing!

(much of the great detail is removed when you actually go into my channel page)
Anyway, to the A Large Journey stuff!

A Large Journey Story (Spoilers)

Here is the story! (Spoilers ahead)

You are a Fencer. One day, your fencing begins to annoy the painters. So they come and try to kill you… the dumbasses they are. You defeat them with ease. But then the police come.
They try to capture you, but you end up getting away from them, surviving against deadly odds. You meet a friend, and together you face the police, eventually getting past balloon based guards to get to a hot air balloon (with the help of painters!). There, you escape…

… into a strange land. This area is jam packed with tribal men (reminiscent of today in real life, where the modern world still has people who act like tribal people did back then.), who you befriend (along with a few rogue musketeers). After beating a mammoth, you go through a time warp, which has the sole effect of changing the tribal men into farmers…
Then a bunch of samurai come.
The farmers betray you, and you are captured by the samurai, brought through a secret entrance, where you and the halberd guy (with the help of a friendly local) overpower the samurai. You then find a friendly painter, and help him defeat his pursuers.

Then you transition to being the Monkey King, the leader of a rebellion against the corrupt dynasty government. After a meeting with a government official tragically goes wrong, you recruit some samurai, train them to have different strengths, and kill the Queen as a group. The King, more powerful, massacres the group, forcing you to find help. You encounter the Fencer and his group, and together you kill the King. Tired of this, you (now able to control both the Fencer and the Monkey King), move on to new locations.

I will continue this story in future.

A Sequel?

Yes. A Large Journey 2 is in development. You can play it now, but it is still not finished.

Q&A

Question: Will more characters be killed off?
Answer: Yes. Even main characters (characters you control) will be killed. However… the Fencer is the one character who won’t be killed. It would be rather cruel, I think.

Question: Will the Jarl be back?
Answer: Maybe…

Question: How many parts will there be to A Large Journey 2?
Answer. Five, with 10 chapters in each part.

Question: When will A Large Journey 2 be fully released?
Answer: Around Early 2020.

Question: Will you remaster A Large Journey?
Answer: Yes.

Update Log

1: Released A Large Journey. Most levels are absent.

3: Removed a level, and added a level with the (then new) mechanics added in 0.6.0.
4. Created A Large Journey 2 (lots of updates that I can’t name).
