Overview
Hey all! I made this guide for anyone who gets stuck when going through a game (like myself) and doesn’t want to go through and spend time looking up video guides! Disclaimer, I do not own any of the content of the game or the guide I have made, just a simple fan made guide to help out other people who may need some extra help. (And I have no promises on it being 100% spoiler free!) Good luck and I hope you all enjoy!
Prologue
-After everything, you will be asked by Mrs. Sanderson to unclog her toilet.
-Head left to the bathroom
-After attempting to unclog the toilet, you will find yourself in a sewer system. Walk right and speak to the Pony.
-Head left and climb the ladder.
-There are 3 levels to the sewers and each level has a switch that needs to be hit in a certain order.
2, 3, 1
-Climb down and walk to your right until you can exit into the bathroom.
Episode 2 Start
-Follow Larry after talking
-Interact with the picture in the treehouse
-Interact with the chest and obtain the puzzle box
-Leave the treehouse when done
-After returning back to the apartments, ask Larry how his mother is doing to start the achievement “Best Buds” (1/8)
-Go to room 504
-Go to the bathroom
-Before heading off, go back to Larry and ask him where the room is again for the achievement “Best Buds” (2/8) *Rest of achievement will be shown under the “Best Buds” section of “Using the Super Game Boy” category
-Head to room 202
Modifying the Gear Boy
-Go to Larry’s room (located in the basement)
-Interact with the police scanner to get the antenna
-Go back to room 202 and enter Todd’s room
-Talk to Todd and give him:
- Reception: Antenna
- Power: Walkie Talkie
-After getting the Super Game Boy, you will test it out in Todd’s bathroom
-Congrats! This is where we can start working towards several achievements, such as “In Seeking Providence,” “Devour,” “Best Buds,” and “The Addison Family“
-Feel free to check out your Super Gear Boy and play it, as you have gotten Chapter 3 for “In Seeking Providence“
Using the Super Gear Boy (Achievement Central)
During this part of the game up to the part where the game leads to the ending gives you a lot of freedom to go for certain achievements. Here I’ll post different achievements and the steps to acquire them. If you aren’t interested in going for achievements, feel free to skip ahead to the next section.
Best Buds Achievement:
*This achievement will require you to go throughout the story. It’s best to go back and talk to Larry after each event has happened. To obtain this achievement, it is also important you go through the steps that get you “The Box” achievement.
- Ask Larry how his mother is doing.
- After going to the bathroom in 504 with Larry and he tells you to talk to Todd, go back to Larry and ask “What room is Todd in again?”
- Show Larry the Super Gear Boy
- After speaking to Todd about missing girl (after finding “In Seeking Providence chapters 1, 2, & 6), go to Larry with the picture of Megan and ask, “Have you seen this necklace?”
- After speaking to Megan, go back to Larry and ask, “How you holding up?”
- After obtaining the crowbar, show Larry it
- After opening the puzzle box, show it to Larry
- Go back to Larry after speaking to Todd about the puzzle box, which is now a Rubix Cube.
Devour:
Locations of all 4 seals
- Larry’s Kitchen
- Hole next to room 501 (not inside the room)
- Room 502 (next to the bird cage)
- Room 204 (Charley’s Old Room)
The Addison Family:
- Speak to Miss Rosenberg and exhaust all options
- Speak to Todd after finding a few chapters from the game “In Seeking Providence”
*You will need to find chapter 1, 2, and 6 - Speak to Mr. Addison and select the dialogue option “About Addison’s Tea”
In Seeking Providence:
*Before speaking to Todd again, I managed to find only 4 chapters (1, 2, 3 & 6), so feel free to either obtain them now or after speaking to Todd.
- Room 102 (Miss Rosenberg’s Place) *Make sure to exhaust all dialogue options with her for The Addison Family Achievement!
- Tree House (Next to Photo Frame)
- Todd’s Bathroom (part of the story)
- Room 504 Bedroom
- Room 504 Bathroom (Story, after you get Gold Necklace from Lost and Found Box)
- Larry’s Kitchen (Also a seal)
- Room 504 Hole in Bedroom (DO NOT ENTER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO PROGRESS IN THE STORY – IT WILL CUT YOU OFF FROM OBTAINING ANY OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS)
- Room 403 (Need crowbar)
-After getting all the chapters, make sure to play each of them to ensure you get the achievement!
Unseen:
-After obtaining the crowbar, head to apartment 403 and you should now be able to enter.
-Use the Super Game Boy and you should have the achievement!
The Box:
]*Keep in mind, “The Box” achievement is intermingled with the “Best Buds” achievement!
- Enter David’s apartment after obtaining the Crowbar
- Look right of the couch and pick up the Dial
- Upon playing Chapter 2 of “In Seeking Providence,” the code to the box is within each floor.
- Speak to Larry after opening the box
- Speak to Todd about the box
Story (without Achievement Spam Text)
For those who are here just to get through the story and not care about achievements, here’s a simple walkthrough to get you through everything.
Continuing with the Story:
-Speak to Todd after going and finding chapters 1, 2, and 6 of the Gear Boy game “In Seeking Providence”
- Locations are: 1 – Room 102 ~ 2 – Tree House ~ 6 – Larry’s Kitchen
-Head to the basement and head right
-Interact with the Lost and Found box (This will send you to the 504 Bathroom for some juicy story)
Getting the Crowbar:
-Go to room 302 and speak with David
-Go to room 301: The goal is to select the quietest activities
- Sierra: Chess Tournament
- CJ: 89.3
- Azaria: Telephone
-Afterwards, head back to David (room 302) and speak to him again to get the crowbar. (This is the point where you can start working on “The Box” and “Unseen” achievement)
-Go to room 504 and use the crowbar to get into the bedroom
-Go through the hole in the bedroom (WARNING, POINT OF NO RETURN – YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OBTAIN OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS AFTER GOING THROUGH THIS POINT)
After the Point of No Return:
-Pull out Super Game Boy and use it under the noose (Here is your last chance to play “In Seeking Providence, as well as doing chapter 7 to get the achievement)
-Exit the game when you’re finished and continue on with the story
-Go to the treehouse and investigate boxes, paintings, and picture
