Introduction
(Working as of version 1.0.0.6)
This guide will show you how to play as ANY playable characters that has been assigned to a number in the game files as well as all the codes I have found so far (If you find more codes please leave them in the comment section).
How to Change Characters
- First start Risk of Rain 2 and Cheat Engine (If you don’t have Cheat Engine downloaded, click here [www.cheatengine.org])
- In Cheat Engine click “Select a process to open” in the top left corner and select Risk of Rain 2.
- Go to the character selection window and select one character, then go to Cheat Engine and type in that characters corresponding number (eg. Commando – 26, MUL-T – 59, Huntress – 50, Artificer – 59, Engineer – 35, Rex – 90, Loader, 56, Acrid – 28, Captain – 22 or Mercenary – 62) into “Value”, then click “First Scan”.
- Then, change your character (Must be a different character) and repeat the last step but instead click “Next Scan” continue switching characters (They can be the same two.) until you have only have one address on the list to the left side.
- Double clicking the address will add it to the list at the bottom, then you can edit the values to the character or enemies (Or oddity) of your choice, then click “OK”. Now begin the game and have fun!

Q&A
Q: Does thins work in x version?
A: As of version 1.0.0.6, it is still working.
Q: Does this work in multiplayer and can I change others characters as well?
A: In multiplayer, you are able to change yours and others character as long as you are hosting the lobby
Q: Why can’t I leave the capsule?
A: If you cant leave the capsule, host a multiplayer match and have your teammates complete the Teleporter; Once you move on to the second stage, you will be able to move freely.
Q: Can I get banned for this?
A: Currently you can not get banned for this method.
Q: Why are characters incomplete or glitchy?
A: The majority of these characters aren’t supposed to be played, some may be incomplete, missing UI or glitchy.
Q: Will this ruin my progress?
A: This will not mess with your save file, the number you are changing has nothing to do with your current progress.
