PA: Chergarian Invasion Recreation

Overview

Based off the information provided to us in the new 2LW Museum map. A country named Chergaria invaded Syrvania in the year 524, just shortly before the 2nd Leersog War.

Introduction

As a big lore nerd, Sofa’s latest map really got me invested into the lore of Project Altirus.

The map I’m referring to can be found here: [link]

One of the many things we learn is that a country named Chergaria invaded Syrvania in the year 524, just shortly before the 2nd Leersog War. After realizing that half of Hetland’s vehicles were from Chergaria and the hilariously pitiful CZL.1 was pretty much all Syrvania had, I got an idea. I decided to try and recreate the invasion as accurately as we can get based off the information provided to us so far.

It’s important to also mention that Chergaria should win almost every time, understandably so.

Unfortunately there’s still going to be some minor problems and inaccuracies for the time being unless Sofa decides to make a prequel. Wink* Wink*

So let’s get down to business!

The Map

I felt the non-winter version of Ilast Valley would be most suitable for this battle. Now i’m 100% aware that Ilast is in Hetland, but the canonical version of the battle was during the winter so I felt it would be fine just to pretend it’s a random area in Syrvania. The only issue is the map doesn’t support planes.

The map can be downloaded from here: [link]
With that being said, I’m completely open to people suggesting different maps for this. I’m sure someone could find something better.

Configuration (Syrvania)

Syrvania didn’t have much to defend themselves from the invasion.

You’ll probably need these:
Weapons
Vehicles
All they had were Civjetsitraktors and the pathetic CZL.1 light tank for ground forces. You could honestly put these two in any ground vehicle slots based off your personal liking. I prefer more Civjetsitraktors than CZL.1’s but that’s just me. I suppose you could put the Stanlaw in as well but I would remove any anti-tank or anti-air emplacements.

To help give you an idea, this is what their lineup looks for me.

The only aircraft Syrvania had at the time were some unnamed obsolete attack planes, the SBP.19 dive bomber, and a couple of SBL.22 light bombers (which were mostly grounded during the invasion due to lack of fuel). With that being said, I would just stick the SBP.19 in both fighter and bomber slots but you could just stick a random WW1 era biplane in the fighter slot if you really want to.

I don’t believe it was ever explained what weapons were available during the invasion so I would just keep everything enabled except anti-tank weapons and fire based weapons for Syrvania.

As for the actor model, I think it should be obvious: [link]

Configuration (Chergaria)

About half of Hetland’s vehicles were from Chergaria and used in the Invasion of Syrvania. Unfortunately that doesn’t change the fact that Hetland stuck their flag and symbols on all their tanks. It’s just something you’ll have to ignore.

You’ll probably need these:
Weapons
Vehicles
The bulk of Chergarian ground forces should be ZAV 2-Ton trucks and/or Amsel Mk Is. As for heavy armor they primarily used the Mathis Mk I, you could also add in the Laansbrieg II but I would recommend only putting them in the APC slot since those are usually pretty sparingly used in maps.

Configure them around however you wish but here’s how I have them for reference:

The only aircraft we know Chergaria had was the Vespyr Dothen light bomber so I would stick them in both fighter and aircraft slots.

As for weapons, we currently don’t have any details of what Chergaria armed their troops with. I would recommend just using all of Hetland’s weapons except fire based weapons. You could also used the anti-tank gun and I would highly recommend the anti-tank grenade exclusively for the Chergarians. Remember they had a superior military force, don’t feel too bad about squashing Syrvania as they still have light tanks that can destroy Chergarian armor if they get lucky.

For the actor model, we don’t have any details of how Chergarian soldiers look but I would imagine they look pretty similar to Bressians so I would use them as a placeholder: [link]

I hope this will be fun, I recreated it to the best of my abilities. If you have any suggestions, please leave them down below.

Here’s some fun screenshots I took:

Big thanks to filth smell/Sofa for creating Project Altirus and it’s amazing world. I look forward to anything you create in the future.
