How to farm endless meat and feathers!

Overview

How to easily and endlessly farm food and feathers as Wickerbottom using the Birds of the World book and the Lureplant! Perfect for those who don’t know what to do with Lureplants or need feathers for making darts in bulk and those who want easy meat for cooking, taming and trading gold!

Introduction

Are you sick of Lureplants spawning in your pretty world? Don’t really know what to do with them? This guide explains how to easily and infinitely farm food and black/red feathers as Wickerbottom using the Birds of the World book and the Lureplant! This is useful if you need more meat for your Crock Pot cooking or if you are trying to farm Sleep and Fire darts (Which are now highly effective with all the bosses and such). (This can also help farm gold as the Pig King will trade one gold for each meat product you give him!)

What you will need:

-Wickerbottom
-Birds of the World (2 Eggs + 2 Papyrus)
-Lureplant(s)

For the Eggs you will need a Birdcage with any Bird in it, feed it any meat product and they will give you an Egg.
The Papyrus is refined Reeds. You can easily get Reeds in swaps. (Watch for tentacles.)
The trickiest item to get will be the Lureplant. Lureplants will spawn in a location near any area the player has previously walked. (You don’t have to go looking for them because the instantly show on your map when they spawn, so look on your map to see where they are. Where’s Waldo but for Lureplants on your map.)

What to do:

Place your Lureplant in an open area. (This works on any terrain except for crafted turfs, Cave Rock and Rocky Turf, Fungal Turf, Spider creep, or Sandy Turf. Eyeplants will not spawn on these.)

Let it sit for 2 days. This is about how long it takes for the Eyeplants to spawn. Once there are Eyeplants; make your way to beside the Lureplant itself. (Be careful eyeplants will attack you if you are too close. Eyeplants can be one-shoted if you wield a Spear or higher level weapon.) Well placed grass or pine cones will prevent Eyeplants from spawning and make an easy path to your Lureplant.

Once you are beside it use your Birds of the World book, birds will fly down and fill your screen only to disapear into the Eyeplants. Wait a little bit and then cut down the Lureplant (Spears are good for this.) You will receive the feathers and morsel from the birds.

You can feed 2 morsels to a caged bird to get 2 eggs back right away for your next book. You can repeat this over and over and reuse Lureplants. You can even have multiple set up at a time.

You can cook the morsel right away as they may have suffered some spoilage in the plant. I HIGHLY recommend using the morsel in Crock Pot recipes instead of eating them plain because you will have a significant up in efficiency on hunger and heath and even sanity that way. (I have a guide on cooking with Crock Pots you can check out if you want to know more about that.)

Conclusion

Farm feathers for you darts or hats or whatever you need them for, and have an un-ending supply of morsel for cooking and eating (Reminder: The Pig King will give you one gold nugget per meat so this is also a great way to mass-produce gold)! The main idea using the Lureplant can obviously be applied to other things and farming techniques in the game so experiment if you want! Possibly rate up the guide if it helped you! (If you have not played Wickerbottom yet, or don’t plan on it, I highly recommend her as a character. Even though she may be more difficult, she has a huge advantage with crafting, and all or her books add an entire level of possibilities in the game. She is a perfect choice for Don’t Starve Together. :D)
