Barbary Pirate / Kamikaze Attack

Overview

Create a fleet of 10 barbarian ships as Ottoman and kill a unit with only 1 hp left as Japan. (Guide in English/Deutsch)

Generally

Both of this achievements are very easy if you know what to do. At first you have to deactivate all Mods and DLCs. Without deactivating all Mods and DLCs you won’t get these achievements because the DLC/Mods change the game, any extensions changed the mechanic of the Ottomans and Japanese.

I know my English is not the best one but I hope you will get these achievements by reading this little guide 😉

Allgemein

Beide Achievements sind eigentlich sehr einfach, sofern man weiß, was zu tun ist. Als erstes müssen alle Mods und DLCs deaktiviert werden. Geschieht dies nicht, ist es nicht möglich, diese Achievements zu erhalten, da mit späteren Erweiterungen die Spielmechanik der Osmanen und Japaner geändert wurden.

Barbary Pirate – English

If you play with Mods and DLCs like Brave New World you have to kill enemy ships to convert them. You will not get the achievement by playing like this. Without all Mods/DLCs you have to go near an enemy ship to use the special ability by the ottomans. So build ships and take place near enemy ships. You have a 50% chance to convert them. If you don’t converte them with the first try it will never works – kill it.

Take the Ottomans and the map Archipel or Little Islands, with raging barbarians. Build ships and place them near a barbarian villiage and wait. The enemy ships will convert if they are near your ship. It doesn’t matter who (you or the barbarian) moves, so you also have a chance to convert when a barbarian ship spawns. You have to kill the land units because there is a maximum limit of barbarian. So if a land unit spawns, kill it and wait for a ship.

You don’t have to get a fleet of 10 converted ships at the same time. You should converte 10 enemy ships at all. It doesn’t matter if they get killed.

Barbarischer Pirat – Deutsch

Wenn die Mods und DLCs wie Brave New World noch aktiviert sind, müssen feindliche Schiffe getötet werden, um sie anschließend für die eigene Flotte zu gewinnen. Auf diese Weise funktioniert das Achievement aber nicht. Ohne die Mods/DLCs müssen sich die osmanischen Schiffe nur ein Feld neben den feindlichen Schiffen befinden, um die Spezialfähigkeit der Osmanen zu aktivieren. Also heißt es: Schiffe bauen und zu feindlichen Schiffen fahren. Die Chance, ein Schiff zu konvertieren, liegt bei 50%. Wenn ein feindliches Schiff nicht sofort überläuft, wird es nicht mehr funktionieren, kann (und sollte) also getötet werden.

Wähle die Osmanen und die Map Archipel oder Winzige Inseln aus, ebenso Wütende Barbaren. Baue Schiffe und platziere sie neben Barbarendörfern. Die feindlichen Schiffe werden konvertiert, sobald sie neben des eigenen Schiffes sind. Es spielt keine Rolle, wer sich zu wem bewegt (Du oder die Barbaren), außerdem besteht die Chance, ein Barbarenschiff gleich beim Erscheinen zu konvertieren. Die Landeinheiten müssen getötet werden, da es ein Maximum an Barbaren auf der Karte gibt. Also: Landeinheiten töten und auf Schiffe warten.

Es muss keine Flotte bestehend aus 10 konvertierten Schiffen aufgebaut sein, bei der alle Schiffe noch am Leben sind. Es müssen nur insgesamt 10 Schiffe vom Überlauf überzeugt werden, es spielt keine Rolle, ob sie mit der Zeit zerstört werden.

Kamikaze Attack – Englisch

Without any Mods and DLCs you pick Japan, take raging barbarian, build any military land unit and fight. It is possible to get this achievement by fighting against barbarian.

To get this achievement your fighting unit has to kill any enemy with only 1 hp (of 10) left. Don’t worry, Japanese units will fight with the full power, the remaining hp doesn’t matter.

I got this achievement by play the China/Korea/Japan-Scenario (Samurai Invasion) as Japan. If you want to do it this way you don’t have to deactivate anything because it’s an “old” scenario 😉

Kamikaze Angriff – Deutsch

Deaktiviere alle Mods und DLCs, wähle Japan aus und aktiviere die Wütenden Barbaren. Bilde eine militärische (Land-)Einheit aus und suche Gegner. Es ist möglich, dieses Achievement beim Kampf gegen Barbaren zu bekommen.

Um die Bedingungen dieses Achievements zu erfüllen, muss die Einheit mit 1 hp (von 10) verbleibend einen Gegner töten. Die japanischen Einheiten kämpfen trotz personeller Schwäche mit voller Kraft.

Ich habe dieses Achievement während des Cina/Korea/Japan-Szenarios als Japan bekommen. Auf diesem Wege muss kein Mod/DLC deaktiviert werden, da es ein “altes” Szenario ist 😉
