What is Snow Stalker?

The Snow Stalker is a large maritime predator. They can be found in the Glacial Basin and Arctic Spires Biome.

Snow Stalkers Behavior

When idle the Snow Stalker can be seen pacing the area and on occasion standing upright to survey its surroundings. When the player is within distance the Snow Stalker becomes aggressive, stalking the player by crouching and slowly approaching players while snarling. When close, it will speed up and leap at the player and proceed to attack them. It is not dissuaded by failed attack attempts and will continue to chase the player down immediately, not stopping until it has inflicted damage upon them. If it successfully attacks the player, it will deal 35 damage, but if the player’s health is less than 35%, the attack will be an instant kill with a cinematic showing the player getting attacked and eaten in the creature’s jaws. However, the player has a certain probability to avoid immediate death attack. If the player avoids immediate death attack, the Snow Stalker deal only 8 damage.

Snow Stalker Baby

The Snow Stalker Baby is passive towards the player, unlike the highly aggressive adults. They can be interacted with, though will snap at the player partway through the animation but deal no damage. After interaction, It they will get angry with the player. This also results in it attracting adult snow stalkers nearby. You can feed them with Preston’s Plant and fishes.

How to collect Snow Stalker fur?

You need the use Spy Pengling for collect furs. The blueprint for the Spy Pengling is acquired by scanning fragments in the Glacial Basin. You can craft it from fabricator. You can even collect fur from Snow Stalker Babies.

How to deal with them?

The Snow Stalker can be scared away by the Flare. If you going to explore the Glacial Basin or Arctic Spires, at least have one flare on your inventory for avoid taking damage!
While spy pengling is active, they can attack you, so throw the flare in your hand at exactly where you are and they will not be able to approach or attack you.
You can kill them with knife or prawn suit.
You can grab and throw them with Prawn Suit Propulsion cannon. [ It’s Pretty Fun 😀 ]
They can swim and they deal 35 damage with one attack!
