Half-Life 2 Guide

Grenade Basics for Half-Life 2

Grenade Basics

Overview

(This is my first guide, so do not judge) NORMAL GRENADESThere might be a couple of ambushes in the first couple of the Half Life levels you pass through each chapter, you may have a grenade or SMG grenades, if you don’t know how to use them better in game play, maybe you should read this guide, again, this is my first guide, here’s a couple of ideas that i came up, – You could throw your generic frag grenade to sweep out your target’s cover, if you throw the generic, the grenade will have a timer, this applies to ALL of the frag grenades thrown, this will give the target some time to evacuate the area, then the grenade will explode. If you feel like there could be an ambush coming up. – You could find an explosive barrel, if you do not have the gravity gun, you can shoot it. ( 2 pistol shots ignite the barrel ) – Or you could waste one of your frags, throw a frag in the suspected ambush point, keep clear of the explosions that are in that area! Explosive barrels could be present, if any enemies are there, they react to the grenade, and try to flee it. They will be unorganized, and you can shoot them down. SMG GRENADESHere in this part of the guide, is the SMG grenade i will be explaining, the SMG grenade has a vary between the generic frag grenade, instead it explodes on impact, drastically giving less time for your target, here, i might have less ideas on this, – Shoot an exposed side of your target’s cover to simply, kill, or drain their health. This the end to my first guide, thanks for reading!

Explosive Barrels

Explosive Barrels are breakable objects that explode when broke, they are mostly red with rust, and a damaged white tag in the middle of the object.
