For Nvidia card users only! Fixing your Fable 3 fps
Ok so some of you are most likely having the same issue as me. Fable 3 with vsync on is like riding a donkey backwards down a motorway full of cars driving at 80mps… Its not fun… and its just as bad when its turned off.
The problem is that when Vsync is activated within Fable 3, your fps will be locked at 30 (thats not good), when Vsync is turned off you’ll be getting awful screentearing.
To fix this first open up Nvidia control panel. Located in your computers control panel.
Once you open it, it should appear like the screenshot below;
Step 1: Manage 3D settings (even if your not playing in 3d it doesnt matter)
Step 2: Dont edit your Global Settings unless you know what your doing. Select the Program Settings on the second tab shown highlighted in the screenshot
Step 3: Click on the dropdown box and scroll down until you find Fable 3, select it (if you cant find it on the list you can add it manually by clicking ‘Add’ Next to the dropdown box and finding the Fable 3.exe on your computer)
Step 4: Triple Buffering and Vertical Sync will most likely be set to off by default. Turn them both on and click apply Settings
Step 5: Close Nvidia Control Panel, Give this Guide a ‘Rate Up’ if it helped, Open Fable 3 and enjoy the game.
